Yes I had seen the various sections in the forum. I guess what I meant was to have a section seperate from the forum. It would be sort of like an online database; you would be able to see a list of scholars and the naats / qasidas written by them that have been translated and available for download as a PDF by SunniPort.

The current forum section is great; I just think it's easier to take in the work if the urdu/arabic, transliteration, translation, etc. are all on the same page on a PDF, rather than multiple posts in a thread in the forum. See attachment as an example of what I'm trying to get at.

as for the PDF from ridawi press, inShaAllah, we will see some releases in this department as well. wa billahi't tawfiq.

    Assalaamualaikum,

Just wanted to offer a suggestion for this beautiful website.

It would be great if the site can begin offering transliterated and translated poetry in PDF format (similar to the Ridawi Press books).

For example, in a nice polished PDF file (one per poem), you would:
    1. Have the verses written in its original language (i.e. Urdu, Arabic, etc.)
    2. Below each verse have the transliterated English
    3. Below #2 have the English translation
    4. Any footnotes as needed
    5. Information on poet, source, etc.

This would be a great help for those of us that do not speak Urdu and Arabic all too well. Such documents would also enable individuals to download and print the files so that they can be used at masjids by non-urdu/arabic speaking people (i.e. allow them to greater participate in gatherings at masjids).

You can create a seperate section on Sunniport where people can search for poems based on poet, poem title, tags, etc.

    Thanks
