I heard from a Alim e Deen that for those who in their lives pray for death in Madina but they die elsewhere, then their bodies will be removed from their own graves by the Angels to a grave in Baqiy Sharif. The body of the Disbeliever will be removed from this grave in Baqiy Sharif and then the body of the believer will be placed in it. Allahu Alim
is there any concept/hikayat of bodies being shifted out of graves to another location by angels? i think iv'e read something of this sort somewhere....
i prefer to call it baqiy until we have an example from our elders who also called it jannatu'l baqiy. if anyone comes across such an example, please post it here.

i did not say that calling it jannatu'l baqiy is a sin or something like that - just letting you know that in my meagre knowledge, and the little what i have read, ulama have mentioned baqiy as only that. i checked a number of books - histories of madinah, sirah books, manasik - and invariably, they refer to the place as baqiy or baqiy al-gharqad. i checked persian/urdu books and manuals like jazb al-qulub of shah abdu'l Haq and bahar e shariat / anwar al-bisharah and mawlana naqi ali khan's jawahiru'l bayan fi asrari'l arkan. please correct me if i have missed it, but i didn't see jannat and only baqiy or ahl e baqiy here. the closest to 'jannat' is a comment we find in wafa'a of samhudi [d.911] that the enclave where mothers of believers are buried was called: 'rawDah ummuhat al-mu'minin' and close to it is the 'rawDah aqeel'. he quotes ibn jubayr mentioning in his travelogue as:"the rawDah of aqeel, and the rawDah of mother's of believers.. ...and facing it a short patch of verdant land (rawDah) in which three children of the Prophet sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam rest. and behind it is the rawDah of `abbas ibn `abd al-muTTalib.." rawDah being a lawn, or meadow, or a small garden can then be stretched to a jannah. Sahih Muslim Book 04. Prayer Hazrtha 'Aisha Siddiqa (RadhiAllahuanha) reported (that whenever it was her turn for Allah's Messenger [may the most perfect peace and blessings be upon him] to spend the night with her) he would go out towards the end of the night to al-Baqi' and say: Peace be upon you, abode of a people who are believers. What you were promised would come to you tomorrow, you receiving it after some delay; and God willing we shall join you. O Allah, grant forgiveness to the inhabitants of Baqi' al-Gharqad. Qutaiba did not mention his words: "would come to you". Firstly, A prophet's (Peace be upon them all) dua is never rejected let alone the best of Prophets [may the most perfect peace and blessings be upon him] Dua. Secondly, Jannah is one of the many rewards. Alhamdulilah! Many commentries have been compiled on Muslim shareef by our Ulama from the likes of Imam Nawawi (RahimuAllah) to Allamah Ghulam Rasool Saeedi(Hafizullah). It would be interesting to know what these Ulama have recorded in the commentary of above mentioned hadith.
i doubt the word "jannat" is found in the wording of hadith. i have examined scores of sources, including urdu/persian and all of them say "ahl e baqiy". shah abdu'l haq, alahazrat and his noble father imam naqi ali have all said ahl e baqiy. jannat has eluded me. Allah ta'ala knows best.

Thus, he records the following Hadith in the interpretation of the Hadith which comes in Jame’ Tirmidhi, Vol. 1, pg 202: Translation: The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) went to Jannatul Baqi and lifted both of His blessed hands and prayed. Baqi could mean Garden or a Graveyard (Please correct me if i am wrong) However, It would be better if you can explain the complete term Jannat ul baqi and aqida related to the blessed place.
Assalamualaikum, I had a question regarding Jannat ul Baqi, how did Ahlus sunnah wal jam'ah derive this name? The closest answer i have got is anwar shah kashmiri has mentioned this name in one of his books. I would really appreciate if any learned brother can shed some light on this topic.
