His illustrious father was Maulana Abdul Qadir Sahab (alayhe rehmah), and I believe he was a contemporary of Muhaddith e Aazam, Pakistan, Maulana Sardar Ahmed sahab (alayhe rehmah) - possibly his student too.

Shaykh Ata' ul Mustafa Noori has passed away late night yesterday in Faisalabad, Pakistan. He was in his mid-sixties.

Inna Lillahe wa inna ilayhe Rajeoon.

May Allah accept all his efforts for Deen, forgive his shortcomings (if any), and grant him a high station in Paradise, thru the waseela of His Beloved - Aameen.

Shaykh Ata' ul Mustafa Noori was the rector of Jamiyah alQadriyah alRazaviyyah, Faisalabad, which was founded by his illustrious father (I do not recollect his name now), who was the Khalifa of Huzoor Hamed Raza Khan (alayhe rehmah). Shaykh Ata' ul Mustafa Noori was the mureed and Khaleefa of Huzoor Mufti e Aazam e Hind Maulana Mustafa Raza Khan (alayhe rehmah).

Under his active supervision, the seminary grew into a huge complex housing more than 1,000 male students and having a separate Islamic college for about 500 girls. It is now one of the finest and most well-run ahleSunnah institutions in Pakistan.

Shaykh Ata' ul Mustafa Noori also involved himself in charity works, for which he had a warehouse full of ration items, which were then bound into packets and sent to hundreds of deserving homes, every month.

The Maulana was also very active in publishing ahleSunnah literature, for which he founded a press next to the seminary, and it is famous for publishing very good quality prints of the Holy Qur'an.

Shaykh Ata' ul Mustafa Noori was also instrumental in publishing the English Translation of the Holy Qur'an (from Kanz ul Iman - the Treasure of Faith), that was done by this humble servant. It was indeed the best quality publication I had seen in many years. He was also very kind & selfless, and gave me the soft copy of the printing format (Arabic & English), so it could be used by other publishers, if required, without having to put in the effort again.

may Allah grant him the best reward for the best of his deeds, and give the ahleSunnah a good replacement. Aameen.
