if Modi comes, the singing of "vande mataram" will be "obligatory" to show "patriotism".

if he brings some pundits too, it will be a golden chance for Najis Padri to again ask them to pray to their Gods.

I wonder how soon before we see a similar warning against obaid azmi.

    He declined attendance.
It's more of a political event.
Hints that its funded by the government/or atleast someone high up.
Talks about the way muslims have been treated e.g. Babri Masjid and Gujrat riots
He talks about his experiences since the 1990s in Delhi with some politicians who approached him
    Why invite Narendra Modi!?
Whats the points of inviting Tahir ul Qadri when everyone knows he's a controversial figure and it will anger the scholars?

..if Ulema continue withdrawing from conferences due to the presence or invitation of prof. tahir then organizers will soon stop inviting him..even if they like him..due to the possible failure of their events..this non attendance by Ulema should gather speed and snowball..so he is only hosted in his own mosques (which are also open for Christian worship)

    1. Syed Amin Miyan Barakati sahab and the elders of Mahrera shareef have withdrawn and distanced themselves from this nonsense.
    2. Peer Alauddin Siddiqui sahab declined to attend from the beginning.

i still don't agree with you. in a country like india, when such an event is being organised - it is inevitable. though, as you said, they COULD have showed some spine by not inviting him as a protest. being real sufis who fear Allah ta'ala and not worldly zalimin rulers.

but clearly - as mawlana madani miyan has said - it is a political stunt; and modi, a politician is central to the stunt.

    نسأل الله العافية

Depends. If Modi has organised the event (as Aqdas reports), then yes these sufis need to bear him (surely they can excuse themselves unless they fear being charged for sedition). If the organisers have invited Modi, then lanaat be upon them. How are these loonies different from that deobandi Vastanvi who created a big row for praising modi before he was to assume the role of vice-chancellor at deoband?

Tahir has already had a photo-op with Modi during his last stately visit to India.

It will be useful to know which sell-out mullahs actually attend this conference.

Shaykh ul Islam Sayyid Madani Miya has more or less killed off the Sufi Conference. Described it as a political event and the religious figures organising it are not trustworthy. Pretty damning assessment

Syed Noorani s/o Hashmi Miyan Ashrafi, has pulled out of the conference today, citing his opposition to murtadd Tahir's attendance.

Whether padri is invited or attends is less significant than mass-murderer Modi attending the Sufi conference. All those "ulemas"/"sufis" who attend (whether sunni or otherwise) should be lined up and shot. Organisers, esp. Mr Ashraf, should be boycotted and ex-communicated for life.

Inviting TuQ makes no sense because he is just a distraction and there is nothing to be gained by inviting him. TuQ is discredited both from a religious and political viewpoint so where is the benefit?

    Adding to my post...

If the sunni scholars do attend then may Allah give them the ability to speak the truth and refute the fitna of Dr Tahir Ul Qadri.
Mufti Ansar ul Qadri is not one who shies away and sweeps it under the carpet.

Its a 3 day conference, I assume Dr Tahir Ul Qadri will be attending the final day.

Mufti ansar ul qadri, sh pirzada saheb, pir siddiqui saheb and pir saqib shami should be informed that tahir is attending. They may be unaware probably don't spend much time online. this sufi conference has been advertised mainly via social media in countries besides India and the organisers only put tahir on the poster this week.
