Myself and team of musjidulhaq.com consulted the sharah of Bukhari Shareef by Allamah Ghulam Rasul Saeedi Alayhirahma and he also quotes from UMDATUL QARI, for a better understanding of this hadith, we came to the conclusion that the english translation we are presented with is misleading or it could be stated in a better manner. We ( musjidulhaq.com )thus translate the hadith as follows:

    "
    Narrated Al-Qasim bin Muhammad:

`Aisha, (complaining of headache) said, "Oh, my head"! Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "If it happens while I am still living (i.e. if you pass away during my lifetime) then I would ask Allah's Forgiveness for you and pray for you." Aisha said, "Wa thuklayah! By Allah, I think you want me to die; and If this should happen, you would spend the last part of the day as a groom with one of your wives!" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Nay, I should say, 'Oh my head!' I felt like sending someone to call Abu Bakr and his son, and appoint him as my successor lest some people claimed something or some others wished something, but then I said (to myself), 'Allah would not allow it to be otherwise, and the Muslims would prevent it to be otherwise"."

are you quizzing us here, or asking a question? if it is a sincere question as a seeker, then say it - you can ask plainly what troubles you. or if you are quizzing us - acting smart (like some people do) - we will wait for your punchline.

    what exactly is your problem?

  3. On top of what has been answered already, it indicates the excellence of the rightful first Calipha Hazrat Ameerul Mumineen Abu Bakr As Siddiq (May Allah be Pleased with Him)

Thanks brother, but there is much more to it then that? The words indicate seeking of help and a conversation between The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and grant him peace) and Mother of the Believers (May Allah be pleased with her)

In the above link this hadith is under the heading: "XVI. It is allowed for someone ill to say, "I am suffering" or "O my head" or "My illness is severe."

That heading would suffice me as an understanding for this hadith.

    As Salam Alaikum

    Dear Brothers

What is the understanding of this Hadith?

In terms of seeking aid and what have the Ulema said?

    Bukhari Sharif Book of Patients

5342. Al-Qasim ibn Muhammad said that 'A'isha said, "O my head!" The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "If that had been while I was alive, I would have asked Allah to forgive you and make supplication for you." 'A'isha said, "O my loss! By Allah, I think that you want for me to die. If that were to happen, you would spend the rest of your day sleeping with one of your wives!" The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Rather I should say, 'O my head!' I should (or I wanted) to send for Abu Bakr and his son and appoint him lest some people say [that the khalifate is for a certain person] or some people wish for it Then I said, 'Allah would refuse it to someone not entitled and the believers would prevent it, (or Allah would prevent it and the believers refuse it).'"
