(The English version of the form does not have this clause) The footer reads as such in Urdu:- احتیاط: جھولے سے ملنے والے بچے کے ساتھ ایک خط / پرچی ہوتی ہے، جس سے بچے کے مذہب کا پتا چلتا ہے – اس طرح ہم یہ بچہ اسی مذہب کے ماننے والے کو دیتے ہیں.Translation: Important Note: A child found (abandoned) in the cradle (outside of Edhi Homes) has a letter / chit with it, which indicates the religion of the child. In this way, we then give this child only to the follower of that same religion. This is totally against Islamic Shariah; a child is born on Fitrah, which is Islam; the parents have already abandoned the child, and actually given up their rights to raise the child (for whatever reason); but the Edhi Foundation wishes to go against this, and make the child follow the religion of its parents, whether they were Muslim, Christian, Hindu, Apostates or Heretics. Edhi had some very unislamic views according to this interview he gave: He believed that it's not necessary to sacrifice a animal for Qurbani, he preferred that cash be given to the needy He also States that he allowed his sone to "marry" a already married woman because no pakistani would give him a rishta. He states he advised his sone not to go to molvis and that he had his sone on the phone to him, the sone was with the already married woman, edhi called his own wife on the phone and then instructed his sone to do the nikah and that he edhi & his wife are the witnesses etc..
Who has conferred all these titles on to these individuals? Is it something like "I scratch your back you scratch mine" where they have given each other these titles? Good to see Nawaz being upgraded to "peer", so only a few more years to become a "mufakkir"!
