what he says is understood. everyone knows it. there is no need to say it explicitly at this time and provide fodder for the media to make false equivalence - the 'balanced-reporting' and 'both-sides' argument.

i don't know, but i fear that such a time may come sooner or later. but it is not this day.

oh, well. let us see how thing shape up in the coming weeks. will the protestors tire eventually, and then go join the lines to submit documents? will the world keep looking away? will the OIC find its voice and do SOMETHING other than 'concern'? will muslims be abandoned by the majority eventually? (currently a big chunk is standing with us).

the mood on campuses is unrelenting. students realise that this is a make or break situation. if this movement breaks, then india descends into nazi-germany-mode swiftly. there will be segregation, more and more brutal suppression, muslims mis-treated, disenfranchised, ghettoised, etc at a fast pace. after the brutality at AMU, a big crowd is back on the campus protesting.

yogi/beast is thinking that a brutal carnage will scare muslims and make them fall in line. but UP is UP. (UP= uttar pradesh state) and carnage in poorer, weaker sections does not mean that will be replicated in bigger centres. certainly there will be retailiation - and if that happens, india will have officially descended into civil war. beyond that, neither modi-shah, nor RSS will be able to control the fire.

this fascist government is picking up tips from every brutal regime on how to humiliate or suppress minorities: be it myanmar, israel, nazi-germany or mussolini's italy. a lot also depends on how much hindus are willing to sacrifice.

there are a number of operational challenges to NRC/NPR/CAA which the modi govt has not foreseen. from a project management perspective, this is a monumental disaster, far bigger than that of demonetisation. the country is already under severe economic stress and regional parties are learning/refining how to defeat mo-shah at their game.

unfortunately, people in UP and kashmir will suffer a lot.

brother unbeknown messaged me saying that we must not forget tawbah, zikr and dua at this time. a muslim most not entirely depend on their own actions and capabilities. Divine Help must be sought.
