can I delete my account
the forum is meant to be post/response/counter-response 'thread' and changing your name would make all those posts in reply to you will look rambling about someone who does not even exist on the forum!
so, technically it is possible; but not feasible.
similarly, i received a request to delete their username and delete i did; but the name will not go away; it is just that the user will be unable to login and post.

from an individual's point of view, "just me" it may look unfair, but from the perspective of the forum, the community, it should be that way.

Salaam - I have just recently joined your forum - I have just posted something under resources but when I search for it, I can't seem to see it?
Is it possible to create a youtube-like playlist for video files? Else, what is the best way to add videos from a huge playlist?
How does one add multiple files (audio or video) under a single resource title?
How do I create a post, or whatever it is called, the one where you can get other people to see it also?
Click on the Forums tab.
You will see a list of contents. These are known as 'categories' which are fairly self explanatory. But if you need a little more description hover your mouse over the category.
Decide on which section to post in - if you are new and you don't know where to post, don't worry; moderators will move your thread; after making a few posts or reading on the forum, you will know where to post, in sha'Allah. Select that category.
Click on the top-right corner you will see a small bluish button "Post New Thread".
Enter a meaningful title and type a meaningful message:
If you have any attachments, click on "Upload a File" and follow the instructions.
Click the button Create Thread:
Your post will appear instantly; however, moderators may move it or delete it according to the state of the post. Please be sure to read our 10-year old forum rules.

I typed a lot of text...but the browser crashed
Just open the thread you were working on and you will notice that your text stays where it is. Go ahead and test it. Type some text in a reply and close that window; open the thread again, and you will be where you were.
How do I add a Resource?
1. Click on the Resources tab below the sunniport logo

2. Select Category on the left pane

3. Click on the right top corner of the page, you can see a button labelled "Add Resource".
4. Enter details of the Resource, and upload link; notice that there are four options; one option is "Does not have a file." Use this option if you want to add a resource such as this one with a video uplinked from youtube (and you cannot download it). Just use the media button to paste the link in the "Description".

if you are using archive.org links, try to add the main page link in case the download link changes.

simply upload a picture that you want to make an avatar of, and follow the directions. remember not to upload your personal pictures or stuff that you may not want to share on the public internet; use a generic picture or some scenery whatever.
we use 96 x 96 pixel avatar on the forum.
on that site, either you can crop the picture from wherever or resize. crop is straighforward, click on the box and move around; resize portion of the image by holding down ctrl key and dragging your mouse. as in the example attached below.
