Aoa I am not correct about the reference by I read somewhere that when Holy Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) used to go in sunshine a cloud used to shed over him and moreover he had no shadow.

That is disappointing coming from a learned person.

However, I was just wondering about the relation between life and Nur.
but I must say that "hence upon his creation the life came into existence" this is an excellent point.
Believe me, I have been contemplating all night about it and here is what I concluded. There are many conceptions of time and space, according to Imam Ibn Rushd, if i remember correctly, he says that time is a side effect of space. what he means is that first God created matter and as a result of change in matter after creation, the time came into existence as a measurement of change in matter. Though time does not exist but matter gave rise to time with its taghayyur and this change is made sense of by time, etc.

Therefore, in our ontology, Rasul Allah(S)'s Nur was created first and as a consequence or side effect, just like time according to Ibn Rushd, Life became a side effect of that Nur. So Creation of Nur and creation of life do not seem contradictory now. And as for kun fa-yakun, well, kun seems to suggest that there was something for it to be commanded 'be' and it was. We also have in that hadith that everything was created from the Nur of the Blessed Prophet(s) so on this account also the above seems more likely to be a plausible explanation.

why don't you simply believe that Allah can create what He wills, as He wills, whenever He wills? Inna-Allaha Alaa Kulle shay-in Qadeer. is Allah bound to create space to create something else?

do the malaeka require space to exist? and how much space? it is simply mind boggling when when considers the traits of syedna Jibreel, and in the various forms he appeared.

just ponder on this: when the Holy Prophet went on the Me'raj, he met Allah Almighty "fa qaaba qausaine au adna" - at a place devoid of place, at a time, devoid of time.

wohi la-makaan ke makeen huey, sare arsh takht nasheen huey,
yeh nabi hain jis ke hai yeh makaan, woh khuda hai jis ka makaan nahi.

so just shed your "intelligence" in favour of what Allah says, accept it whole-heartedly. your intelligence or mine cannot comprehend such matters. they are best left for 'ammana wa saddaqna" - we believe, and we testify.

it is strange that you've left your recent active thread and jumped to another, but anyway, no compulsion.

however, from your question what i get is that life has to be the first creation? but the essence of life is ruh, therefore the first creation should be ruh, and that first ruh is our beloved prophet Muhammed aliahi afDalus salaat wat-tasleem, hence upon his creation the life came into existence. so whether you name this first creation ruh, noor, or life, it is Allah's beloved prophet alaihi afDalus salaat wat-tasleem.

i am sorry to say, but i have a hunch that you are once again trying to provoke your agenda in another thread. if it is not true, i apologize but whenever and whatever you post it mostly revolves around one thing...

I have similar questions to which I need answers and explanations. We believe that Rasul Allah(S) is Nur and the first creation. There atleast two ahdith we know in this regard.
    اول ما خلق الله نوري

First creation is My(s) Nur, reported by Imam abdurrazaq in his musannaf.

I(s) and ali were Nur before God 14,000 years prior to the creation of Adam(a) and when Adam was created, God split this Nur into two, I am one part and Ali is the other. reported by Imam Ahmed ibn Hanbal in Fadail al-sahaba.

The above tow ahdith, whether they are authentic or weak, I am not 100% sure but what I want to understand is this:

Allah (swt) says in the Qur'an: الَّذِي خَلَقَ الْمَوْتَ وَالْحَيَاةَ Allah created death and life...

now, if life and death are created and Huzur paak(s) is the first creation according to the hadith then it means Huzur Paak(s) is before life and death.

If someone has an explanation, please shed some light. It has been with me for a long time.
