what i have noticed is that Tabah Institute purpose is to change the public discourse among the Muslim elite; shift them to a different paradigm that appeals, is understanding, modern while making them feel connected with tradition, empowering them with the idea that they have a position to play and make a difference; This is achievable because the gap between the elite, western educated intellectuals and the traditional Sunni scholars back home or even within home is increasing; leveraging all of this while patronizing traditional Muslim religious institutions in words only. Tabah Institute is actually a political organization, and this peace muslim forum by shaykh bin bayyah is to change poblic policy; they want the Muslim educated masses something to talk about. i say, its time for Sunni institutions, to be more active in public discourse; they should be the representatives of the Muslim masses
