this is such a fundamental and well-known belief that even a child won't hold otherwise.

The audacity with which the perennialists are pushing for kufr to be accepted as a mainstream creed of muslims is outrageous and mind-numbing. A direct assault on Islam.

I do not understand why so few muslim speakers/preachers/authors are up in arms about hanson and his ilk.

Attempts like this have been made in the past (the closest I can remember is Akbar's deen-e-ilahi) and have been squashed quite successfully.

But it seems that with dunya having taken hold of people more firmly than ever before, the response is insufficient.

Every english speaking muslim preacher should denounce hanson from the pulpit. I feel shaykh asrar should take the lead since he has already done a lecture on the hanson-dante "affair" and he was very mild then.

Any noble and chivalrous gentleman having dignity and self-respect would have responded by now. Hanson is none of this. He is a shrewd coward having no shame but a great deal of hot air. He needs to be dealt with differently.

hamza is not only a hypocrite, he is also a coward.
all non-muslims - kafirs - will go to hell.

if they are offended by this, or want a place in heaven - very simple. abandon hamza hanson and his likes and become true muslims who follow qur'an and sunnah. [atabek the donkey and his ilk are even worse].

Strange that Mark and Tim recently have both started speaking about perennialism. o_O

I think CD Sattaur and his ilk are from amongst this new fence sitting group, when it comes to the Deobandis. Or perhaps just Devbandis in disguise.

Al-'iyadhu billah. The latter underlined part negates the former part. Hamza is a master of Orwellian doublethink.

Looking through the "Imam Ghazali Institute" page, it reeks of Deobandis.

Listen specifically from 2:11 to 2:41

"I'm not a Perennialist, I don't, you know adhere to that philosophy that all these religions are still valid. But I do believe that there is a validity in those religions and then to the degree with which that validity is there, Allah maintains and sustains people through it. I do believe that. I think they get spiritual help from it, spiritual aid when they're sick, when they pray, when they do these things because we have a generous Lord. And until something better comes along, um that is what God has given them."

The brothers here at Sunniport seem to have ticked off CD Sattaur of the 'Imam Ghazali Institute'. Also Sayeed, the Rafidi, seems to agree with him.

I haven't watched it yet but apparently Hamza Yusuf is denying being a Perennialist but continues to misquote and misconstrue the opinions of Imam al-Ghazali (rahimahullah).
