And when Imam Abu Yusuf was asked how he had gained so much knowledge he replied: I did not feel ashamed to learn from others nor was I stingy in benefitting others.” :)

Sayyiduna Ibn e Abbas RadiAllahu Ta'ala Anhu was once asked as to how he had gained so much knowledge. Sayyiduna Ibn e Abbas RadiAllahu Ta'ala Anhu replied: “A questioning tongue and a wise heart”

It is said; 'The time for learning the Deen is from the cradle to the grave'.

"The one who memorised something, it will flee from him and the one who writes something, it is established.”

It is stated about Sayyiduna Ibn-e-Abbas RadiAllahu Ta'ala Anhu that when he got tired of learning ‘Ilm-ul-Kalam, he would ask for a collection of poetry and read it.

Imam Muhammad would always remain awake at night. He would have many types of books with him. When he got tired of learning one subject, he would begin to learn another.
