Assalaamu alaykum. I had 2 questions on zakat payments.

    1) If a person becomes a staunch sunni after years of research and studying, what happens to his zakat he had paid when he was not aware of deobandi/wahabi deviance, if he is not sure whether people he gave zakat to were sunnis or not?

    2) It seems to me, many sunnis don't have a very clear understanding of some creedal matters, such as taqdir and such as the topic discussed here:http://sunniport.com/index.php?threads/true-understanding-of-hadith-of-jabir.13673/#post-62816 . In such a situation, is it the responsibility of the zakat payer to ensure the receiver has absolutely no issues with his aqeedah through elaborate probing, even if the receiver looks and talks like a sunni?
