This answer here is enough to reveal his jahalah, the so called rafDi muhadith and author of multi volume books of hadith does not understand what does sahabi mean. ibn u'yainah rahimahullah says that to be a sahabi, even if no other superiority (faDilah) is proved or known, then still it is far greater superiority than being a pious, mujahid, and mujtahid imam of muhaditheen and fuqaha like imam ibn Mubarak rahimahullah.

yet, there are ahadith in faDail of sayyiduna Amir Mu'awiyyah raDiAllahu 'anh but to the rafDi it is nasibiyyat, al i'yadhu billah.

so his bottom line from all that long winded talk is - we don't call Sayyidina Ameer Mu3awiyah as "bad" but we SHOULD NOT call him as good; it is an 3ayb to discuss his manaqib. how dare a Sunni discuss manaqib of Ameer Mu3awiyah on the eve of the 10th Muharram. how dare someone ever do it. we will never say anything good about Ameer Mu3awiyah radi Allahu 3anhu, but we won't say anything bad either because he's a sahabi. this is nothing but pretentiousness and a thinly veiled and diplomatic expression of hatred for Ameer Mu3awiyah, and he has the nerve to say that it is us Sunnis who have a grudge against the Ahlul Bayt
