    I have not seen anything in any of the Madhabs on wearing tanned snake skin as impermissible- human, pig and in Shafi'i fiqh dogs too are not permissible to wear. Double check this though.

    Imam al-Quduri (Allah have mercy on him) states:

    “Any skin which has been tanned has become clean, hence prayer is valid on it, and wudu from it - except the skin of a pig and human” (Taharah-7.1)
