I don't know but it seems a lot of Muslim youth have unconsciously gotten into competitive hero worship - as a form of psychological coping mechanism. It seems so bizarre that people do not see the obvious.

To admit one's hero is mistaken or at fault in even a single instance seems to them a terrifying notion. The false ideal of Perfection with which they have bedecked him has created a sense of insecurity to the extent that to accede even a single slip is seen as synonymous to pulling him down from his pedestal and trampling him under-feet in mud.

Add to that, the public personas and larger than life roles they are expected to fulfill makes the admission of mistakes a unbearably painful possibility for these heroes - and that compounds the matters since they are wont to persist in their mistakes.

    https://evolutioncounseling.com/hero-worship/

By expecting perfection people are setting themselves and their hero up for dismay, disenchantment and disaster.

brother @chisti-raza has an apt profile signature: "At times, a shaykh's worst enemies are his own followers".

No one is perfect, everyone makes mistakes. The real hero is the one who admits them and moves on.

As Imam Malik said: "Some of everyone's opinions will be accepted and rejected - except the dweller of this blessed grave" (peace be upon him).

    Wake-up people!

    Let's put things into perspective:

    1. Wajid Iqbal writes an article against Dr Bouti, because his method is "akin" to that of Salafis - Wahabis.

    2. Akram Nadwi is an openly disgusting wahabi, and is very open about it. Wajid says nothing against him until Shaykh Asrars fb status finally compels him to write a pathetic little status.

    3. Shaykh Muhammad and Akram Nadwi share a stage together (which they've done many times previously), not a peep from Wajid Iqbal! Not a single word!

I ask you, is this deen? Is this sincerity?

Wallahi, I have seen Shadhillis sharing Akram Nadwi's status, shamelessly urging others to attend the event. Do these people not care about their akhirah?!

a man is known by the company he keeps.

if yaqoubi sahib wants to hobnob with perennialists and juhala with no adab, it is his choice.

Someone asked me if they should attend yaqubi Saabs event.

I said I prefer you didn't listen to those who praise wahabis in poems.

Even some of the deobandis on a deobandi forum have criticised him, claiming he follows wahabi/salafi aqeeda

hoosein nasr has been a perennialist since the 70s. Before that he was an ithna 'ashri shiite student of ayatuallah tabataba'i Tabrezi. Hoosein nasr wasn't a Muslim and so it does not make sense to say that he is murtad now. Shaikh Yaqoubi ought to comment on Hamza Yusuf's and Zaid Shakir's relationship with Hoosein nasr, a student mentor relationship

notice the khubth in his inside - at 5.47 he recites a verse says that the "favour" is the book.

this donkey has no adab for the prophet sallALlahu alayhi wa sallam; in praising the qur'an, he is trying to trivialise - al-iyadhu billah - the position of the messenger sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam. the jahil mutlaq wants the qur'an without the teacher.

    see this:

    at 12.49
the book basically was revealed to the family of ibrahim alayhi's salam. ibrahim alayhis'salam actually made dua "o Allah send among my descendants a messenger who recites your book and does this and this..." book was basically revealed in response to the dua of ibrahim alayhis salam for his family. so now actually another condition for the book to understand actually is that you must understand this book is the book of your family.

    13.18
it is not an alien book. it is not a book revealed to arab people and we are not arabs so it is not concerned to us, no. this book was revealed to your family.

    13.27
you know, understand really - if one of your ancestor, you know, leaves behind a document, and says, this is a document, really, useful, beneficial for all my descendants, when you will grow up, you would like to know, the will and the writing of your ancestor. what document said.

    13.42
this document, the qur'an. what basically, document of our family.
ibrahim alayhis salam actually has made dua for his family - and now anybody who reads the qur'an actually, they basically are from the family of ibrahim alayhis salam. they should consider the book as their own book, not an alien book, not a book which came to other people. no, it came to you. it belongs to you. it belongs to your family. treat the qur'an as the book of your own family. a book which actually is revealed to you, not to other people.

    ---
the donkey does not mention the importance of RasulAllah sallALlahu alayhi wa sallam. for example, was the book not revealed to him? *HE* was the dua of sayyiduna ibrahim. according to nadwi, do not think about the importance of RasulAllah sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam - just take the book and claim it as a family heirloom, and was handed to us by our great grandfather.

this ghabi doesn't have the courtesy to mention RasulAllah sallALlahu alayhi wa sallam as the very means for the qur'an. he simply attributes it to ibrahim alayhis salam!

by Allah, akram nadwi will never understand the qur'an.

alas, if he were associated with alahazrat, he would know:

qur'an to iman batata hai inheN
iman yeh kahta hai meri jaan haiN yeh.

    around at 9.00
he says idiotic things about masnawi and mawlana rum. no proof - just enormous allegations: "...that the man wants to rewrite the qur'an....he wants to add things from himself...he wants to fill the gaps" this is what his fanboys go ga-ga about? the fool did not realise that he himself said: "the qur'an has gaps". he doesn't have basic reasoning skills - just watawatawatawata barking.
