Pardon my ignorance but is is the Eid prayer Fard e Ayn or Fard e Kifayah?

It isn't that passage. It's one where he explicitly mentions house. But he says there has to be idhn aam.

Asalamu `alaykum br. Aqdas. For jumu`a, what you are referring to is this passage:

Note even Mufti Akmal sahib qibla admits that idhn e aam is usually not met for Eid salah at home thus the point is finished.

Even if this paragraph proves this jawaz, it is with the condition of idhn e am which is a condition not met. Furthermore Mufti Hassan Raza sahib dismisses idhne aam using Maraqi al falah and nahr alFaiq

mufti nizamuddin misbahi writes as an answer:

"It is true that the condition of Izn ‘Aam is not mentioned in the Zāhir ar-Riwāya (the six mainstream books in the Hanafī Madhab) as pointed out in the well-known jurisprudential books such as ‘Badai al-Sanai, Bahr al-Raiq, Raddul Muhtar (chapter of the Friday Prayer). This was why the reliable Hanafi book of jurisprudence ‘Hidaya’ did not mention the condition of Izne Aam. However it can be said that Adm-e-Zikr is not the Zikr-e-Adam (i.e. not mentioning something does not mean denial of something). Sometimes something appears to any Mujtahid in the light of any evidence, therefore he does not feel the need to mention it. "

allowing Eid salah to be performed just like one would in jamaat sounds like a shadh opinion to me. As far as I know, no one else from our maslak (subcontinental) has forwarded this opinion.

Alahazrat says in FR that jumu'ah isn't only in a masjid. Can be in a house too as long as idhn aam.

I have a question - maybe someone can shed some light: Does not having idhn al am mentioned as a shart in Zahir al Riwayah mean that it is not a shart at all? Mufti Hassan Raza seems to assert that idhn al am is not a shart of jumu`ah and Eidayn at all.

Also where does any text of Hanafi fiqh permit praying Salat al Eid in a house?

Furthermore where has any scholar said that nawafil is a qadha for Salat al Eid?

    Hopefully someone can answer

Other alternative is to perform 2 rakah shukrana nafl. Mufti Nizamuddin Misbahi also recommends reciting the Eid takbeer 34 times after finishing salah.

See here for his original version and a derivative clip here. Another written fatwa attached below.

deobandiots are recommending performing Eid salah at home just as one performs in jamaat in normal circumstances! See its original fatwa here and derived ones here. Deogand had similarly issued fatwa for performing jumuah at home.

It is in the renowned hanafi works Durr al-Mukhtar and Radd al-Muhtar that if one misses the Eid prayer, one should offer 4 rakahs of Duha (chaasht) prayer at home.

    *Name of prayer:* Chaasht

*Time:* 20 minutes after sunrise until beginning of zawal.

    *Method:*

Niyyah: 'I intend to pray 4 rakahs of namaz Chaasht, facing the Kabah, for Allah.'

    Then say Allahu Akbar.

    *1st rakah*

    Read thana, audhubillah and bismillah.

Recite Surah Fatihah and another surah.

Then perform ruku and sujud as normal and stand for the 2nd rakah.

    *2nd rakah*

Recite Surah Fatihah and another surah.

Then perform ruku and sujud as normal and sit for tashahhud.

Recite attahiyyat, durud sharif and dua and then stand for the 3rd rakah.

    *3rd rakah*

    Recite thana, audhubillah and bismillah.

Recite Surah Fatihah and another surah.

Then perform ruku and sujud as normal and stand for the 4th rakah.

    *4th rakah*

Recite Surah Fatihah and another surah.

Then perform ruku and sujud as normal and sit for tashahhud.

Recite attahiyyat, durud sharif and dua.

Then make salam to end the prayer.

    Read *Allahu Akbar* 34 times.

*Make dua for yourself, your family and the entire ummah. Pray that Allah relieves us of Coronavirus so that we may once again return to the masjid and pray together.*
