This interview/article is bit of an eye opener. It lifts the lid on how (in certain minuscule cases, especially in Pakistan) polio vaccines actually resulted in polio paralysis. Some grist to the anti-vaxxer mill.

FaqirHaider اللَه المقدر والعالم شؤون لا تكثر لهمك ما قدر يكون

    I find the title misleading

Is he rejecting vaccination or rejection enforcing vaccination? He starts by saying "take vaccinations as much as you like, take jug ton of them if you want, but don't Oblige people."

He proceeds by applying their rhetoric against them, when certain individuals don't like to be enforced to do actions in deen when it comes to saving ones afterlife (no force / Jabar in deen) , why all of the sudden is there a change in attitude for something that is not guaranteed ( he proceeds to give his anecdotal evidence where in fact more people died than were cured) for the sake of not getting polio in the dunya.

To treat a weak feeble virus worthy of obligation but then the rules and beliefs of religion as not obligatory?! This means one has taken this filthy virus to be more worthy than the deen.

This clip alone can't be used to prove anti-vaxxery, he's merely refuting a false objection.

Vaccine for Paralytics Polio is effective 80-90% of the time
Vaccine for other all types of polio is effective 60-70% of the time

Since there is no harm in taking vaccines , (very low risk of neurological issues), I really doesn't harm anyone to take it, but also one can not say it is fardh as well. Although it maybe be encouraged if there is high hope one can eliminate it completely in a span of a few years if proper systems are in place.
