Some ulama in Bradford and elsewhere have reaccepted Irfan Shah sahib into their circle or rather have continued joining his. Why? I want to see the public repentance and retraction from all the major contraventions he committed on his last visit to Pakistan. These ulama who have sat with him post-Pakistan need to explain why they sit with someone who went against Sunni methodology. And don't anyone say I have it in for him. Don't.
We do have moratoria on debates in Ramadan on sunniport but this was posted today and is quite important for UK Sunnis.
probably a new pakistan! pakistani Sunni ulema don't have the guts to publicly name and shame high profile deviants who claim to be Sunnis. they will talk for hours on end about anything. the only thing they won't do is state the hukm of the Shariah. It's a fine art that the ulema of pakistan have mastered!
so is there going to be an official fatwa on irfan sahib? refuting him or trying to make him see reason - is all very well and can continue as long as required. but it's high time a fatwa was issued from some well-respected dar-al-iftah. padri continued to fool people until the God-fearing mufti sahibaan from wafadaar Hind finally punctured his hot air balloon and sent him crashing into the dirt. telling irfan shah sahib to "choose" and "consider" have been going on for almost a year now. what will it take to call a spade a spade? someone, afterall, will have to bell the cat.
I used to think that irfan shah sahib is an immovable mountain - and now I am reminded of what will happen at the approach of Judgement:
No very long ago (2012 -2016): shia-chat discussion on pir irfan shah From the OP in the above thread, his speech at an event in defense of Sayyiduna Amir Mu'awiyyah (raDyiAllahu 'anhu):
Sad to see shiah channels sharing Irfan Shah sahib's answer regarding Sayyidah Fatimah رضي اللہ عنھا being másūm or not. An equivocal answer if I ever saw one. Why can't our ulama speak clearly, directly and without ambiguity? Sayyidah Fatimah IS NOT másūm like the prophets. Anyone who believes she is goes out of Ahl al-Sunnah.
With all due respect that is just the mufti's 'personal' opinion it has no root in shariat. For example you can hold your 'close ones' more respectful in your own eyes than a kaamil Wali of Allah. There is no harm in spite of the fact that the wali is more 'muqaddas' in Allah's eyes. And this will not affect your 'deen' in any way. But to make this part of 'iman' like Iran Shah is doing is what rafizis do. What I see is that since there is 'ijma' on the afzaliyat of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (ra) the tafzilis are trying to form another form of 'ranking' to deceive the public. Such a ranking by the category of 'muqaddas' has no basis in Islam. If there is hadith stating that Bibi Fatima (ra) is the most beloved to our Nabi then there are also hadith stating that Siddique Ayesha (ra) is the most beloved. There is also one stating that Hazrat Abu Bakr is the most beloved. Now just tell the rafizis that Bibi Ayesha (ra) is the most beloved to you based on this information and then just observe their reaction!
@shahnawazgm I understand where you are coming from but I just want to things to be contextualized. The Mufti Sahib is not a Tafdhli and later supported the release of Jalali Sahib and opposed the fatwa. Have a listen from 3 minutes 50 and let me know what you think?
