    1. Well, even though things are recorded nowadays, books were there in A'lahadrat's time. And books could be bought by anyone and brought anywhere.

    2. I don't say that errors should be ignored, but rather discussed in private until the involved parts find a solution. I am not closing my eyes, but asking for any contact to the imam, so that the point can be discussed with him, without the knowledge of those who are not aware of it.

Most of the viewers and readers do not know what the error/supposed error or the point to be discussed is, but as soon as someone mentions anything, every sunni (free of sincerity) and non-sunni start spreading that fulan and fulan 'alim made that and that error and he is not a proper 'alim whenever his name is mentioned.

We have not been told by our scholars, that we should just start dicussing errors of (sunni) 'ulama whenever we listen to it or read it in a book, but first of all try to get in contact with the person himself, or someone responsible for it. If the problem is settled in private it is best. If the person cannot be reached or refuse to talk about it, then one can write something about the (supposed) mistake but with proper adab and not attacking the sunni scholar but rather correct his error letting people remember that errors can happen. A'lahadrat (rahimahullahi) even wrote to the bad madhhabs before writing against them in any matter.

In this case, the arabic passage in the version of Durr I have access to is different or the meaning I get is different from the scholar on the video, but it may be that he has a version of Durr, with another wording either because of different manuscripts existing or a result of an error. There might be something else behind it. I just want to have the imam sahib to re-consider the content and maybe change it, instead of yelling out on forums with attacks, whenever I think I have found an error. As many youngsters listen to theese videos and the scholars are trustworthy, it would be nice if the problem was settled, and even without the common folk knowing what the problem was.

So my point is to make it clear, even if one disagrees with me, that by discussing the problem in public (even if he placed his video video online) you inform sunnis free of tazkiya and all non-sunnis of the problem, where only a little bit of them would have noticed it instead if you did not mention it. If you let the 'alim know and let him correct the error, then even the few that noticed it cannot use it and the other who did not know about it would never know.

I am not saying that you should just ignore it, therefore I wrote "in public".

Moreover, I have got a PM with contact info for the imam, so you may delete my post with the question about the video or this one either if you like.

that worked in an era where recording was unknown; and even in an era when recording was controlled.

when the aalim himself allows his mistakes to be uploaded on youtube and shares the link - closing your eyes won't solve the problem. do you think your enemies will close their eyes too?

Which book is Imam Yazdani Sahib reading from in this video? It seems he is using Durr al-Mukhtar. Can it be confirmed?

I have a ('ilmi) question about some of the content that seems to be different from that what I understand from Durr al-Mukhtar and his Hashiya by Ibn 'Abidin rahimahullah even, but I do not want to post it on here, so that juhala should start discussing/critizing him or the video. As we know from the verdict of A'lahadrat Imam Ahmad Rida Khan rahimahullah revealing or discussing "errors" of sunni 'ulama in public is not allowed.

So whom to contact or write to if one has a question for the video?

The whole event is in English.
The following beautiful rendition is by the PTS Course director and captures the relevant verses from the Burda.

    http://www.weblagu.com/mp3-qasidah-budah-shareef-by-talib-al-habib-the-miraj.html

Sarayta min haramin laylan ilā haramin
kamā saral badru fī dājin min az-zulami

Wa bitta tarqā ilā an nilta manzilatan
min qābi qawsayni lam tudrak wa lam turami

You travelled by night from one sacred Masjid to another
like the full moon that travels through darkness

And you completed the ascent until you reached the position
(of nearness of a distance) of only two bow lengths
(such nearness) that has never been achieved nor sought.

it will be english speeches, i presume, so maybe the nasheed in the youtube should not have been an urdu qawwali?

maybe the verses from the burda that mention the mi'raj? i think arabic would be better than urdu.
