    Re:

There was another couplet by Dr. Iqbal like

    Tamasha tou dekho kay Firdous-e-Aala
    Banaey Khuda aur Basaey Muhammad

I think its not Tamasha tou dekho... Anyhow, this Naat Sharif is really very impressive mashaALLAH!!

  2. I just feel like translating the whole naat ; i was lazy so copy n pasted the transliteration; the translation is solely my own. [version 1.0]

    Zehe Izzat-o I’tilaaye Muhammad
    Ke hai Arsh-e-Haqq zir-e-paaye Muhammad

Such is the honour and grandeur of Muhammad
The Divine Throne lies 'neath the feet of Muhammad!

Makaan Arsh unka falaq farsh unka
    Malak khaadmaan-e-saraaye Muhammad

The world, the Throne, skies, earth are his!
The angels the manservants of Muhammad!

Khuda ki raza chaahatay hain do Aalam
    Khuda chaahata hai Razaaye Muhammad

Both the worlds aim to please God
    God wishes to please Muhammad!

Ajab kya agar raham farmaaye hum par
    Khudaaye Muhammad baraaye Muhammad

It wouldn't be strange if He shows us mercy
Muhammad's God, for the sake of Muhammad!

    Muhammad baraaye Janaab-e-Ilaahi
    Janaab-e-Ilaahi baraaye Muhammad

    Muhammad for the Almighty Lord
    The Almighty Lord for Muhammad!

Dam-e-nazaa’ jaari ho meri zabaan par
    Muhammad Muhammad Khudaaye Muhammad

At the moment of death may I say:
Muhammad Muhammad, the Lord of Muhammad!

Mein qurbaan kya pyaari pyaari hai nisbat!
Yeh aane Khuda woh Khudaaye Muhammad

May I die for such a connection!
He is the glory of God, He the God of Muhammad!

Khuda unko kis pyaar se dekhta hai
Joh aankhein hein mahv e-liqaaye Muhammad

With such love does God look upon
    Those eyes busy adoring Muhammad!

Ijaabat ka sehra inaayat ka joRa
Dulhan ban ke niklee duaaye Muhammad

A diadem of asking, a dress of bestowing
Like a bride went the prayer of Muhammad!

Raza pul se ab wajd karte guzariye
Ke hai "Rabbi Sallim" sadaaye Muhammad

Raza now cross the Bridge in ecstasy!
For "My Lord, peace!" is the cry of Muhammad!

    صلى الله عليه وسلم

*Tamasha tau dekho ke dozakh ki aatish
    Lagaaye Khuda aur bhujaaye Muhammad!

See this spectacle: the fires of Hell
Are stoked by God, extinguished by Muhammad!

    *this verse by Iqbal.

In one mehfil of naat someone recited Ala Hazrat's famous naat

Zahey izzat o itilaa e Muhammad
Ke hai arsh -e -Haqq zir e paa e Muhammad! صلى الله عليه وسلم

Such is the honour and grandeur of Muhammad:
The Divine Throne lies beneath the feet of Muhammad!

until the end of the marvellous naat. Allama Iqbal was present too and he was in ecstasy. He said to the reciter, add a verse of mine too and he composed extempore the following couplet in the same metre:

Tamasha tau dekho ke dozakh ki aatish
    Lagaaye Khuda aur bhujaaye Muhammad!

See this spectacle: the fires of Hell
Are stoked by God, extinguished by Muhammad! صلى الله عليه وسلم

Subhan Allah! Two great lovers of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم
btw this naat is probably my all time favourite of all of Ala Hazrat's kalam.
