Jazakallah brother for your guidance and May all brothers and sisters inform others of their mistakes, instead of letting them make mistakes. Jazakallah.

sister muslimah, i feel there are enough verses and aHadith to help us realise as you say.

    read this again:

we welcome verses and their explanations in light of sunni tafsir scholars and aHadith with their explanations from sunni Hadith scholars. or as you will see at www.nibras.blogspot.com, there is enough naSiHa in our books of tasawwuf. as i said, you are welcome to post them here.

i didnt like the line where you copied and pasted that Allah said: "Ahhh, now you have the idea".

Brother Abu Hasan I respect what you are saying but sometimes emails help people realise what they are doing wrong, for some it can be an eye opener different people have different ways of understanding, so I think we should respect that brother.

i am intensely annoyed by these cut-and-paste items. such posts are not the style of muslims whose veneration of their Lord Almighty makes them careful when they speak of Him.

we cannot take christian 'wisdom' and replace the word 'God' with 'Allah' and pass it off as muslim 'wisdom'. a muslim [or muslimah] should look into hadith and the sayings of our predecessors for wisdom - NOT internet spam.

pass this on to everyone you know: do not alter internet spam and forward it as muslim advice. just say NO.

    ----
one cannot attribute things by speculation to the prophet sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam; how can you do that for Allah ta'ala?

fuqaha say that if one attributes something to Allah ta'ala which He has not said, it is attributing a lie to Allah ta'ala, exalted is He from falsehood. the phrase 'Allah ta'ala said' can be used only when you are quoting the qur'an and/or the Hadith al-qudsi.

    Allah ta'ala knows best.

I asked Allah to take away my pride.

    Allah said, No.

It is not for me to take away, but for you to give it up.

I asked Allah to make my handicapped child whole.

    Allah said, No.

His spirit is whole, his body is only temporary

I asked Allah to grant me patience.

    Allah said, No.

Patience is a by product of tribulations; it isn't granted, it is learned.

I asked Allah to give me happiness.

    Allah said, No.

I give you blessings; Happiness is up to you.

I asked Allah to spare me pain.

    Allah said, No.

Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and brings you closer to Me

I asked God for all things that I might enjoy life.

    Allah said, No.

I will give you life, so that you may enjoy all things.

I ask Allah to help me LOVE others, as much as He loves me.

Allah said...Ahhhh, finally you have the idea.
