I have a question to which im finding it difficult to get a answer may be someone can answer. The question is that many people are not willing to leave or tolerate any negative thoughts about there tariqa, even after it becomes very clear that the certain tariqa fails to adhere to shariah.

When investigating this matter and asking many questions to different people of tariqa i get one reply. The reply that i get is that for many years they have been praying for a spiritual guide, and Allah has showed them the face of there pir in the dream without them ever even knowing about the sheikh. This then becomes a sign for them and despite what (even if sheikh/pir is breaking shariah) they are not willing to leave and will make excuses for him.

Maybe Moriarty or anyone else could answer.

    ISLAMABAD:
Shalimar police on Friday arrested a “fake pir” along with his two accomplices who used to swindle the people of cash and ornaments, the police said.

Malik Muhammad Mushtaq, a resident of Chauntra, lodged a complaint with the police against the pir, Syed Tanveer Hussain Shah, and his two accomplices: Kashif Ali and Lubna.

Mushtaq said the trio had cheated his niece, Samina, out of gold ornaments and cash. The pir tricked Samina in the name of heeling.

The police registered a case against the trio under sections 384 (punishment for extortion), 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 109 (punishment of abetment) and 34 (common intention).

Following the regirstration of a first investigation report, the police raided their hideout and arrested the pir and his accomplices. Further investigation into the case is under way, sources at the police station said.

"Samina, sister of the victim, told The Express Tribune, that her brother had sacrificed himself for the spiritual leader.

“Why should I mourn when I know that my brother is in heaven?” she said. “He will be rewarded for his services for the spiritual leader in afterlife.

She said her brother had volunteered for the miracle and that the pir should not have been arrested."

This just sums up how people under the control of the charlatans act...... even when they see un-islamic things being done by their pirs they find a way of justifying it

Unbelievable stupidity, I didn't know that willingly allowing yourself to be killed to massage the ego of a sharlaten would grant you a free ticket to Jannah.

I think I'll give that particular method a miss thank you very much!

Too trusting: Pir kills follower for miracle of life

    MULTAN:

A pir was arrested on Wednesday for killing a follower to prove his claim that he could bring him back to life.

A Saddar police spokesman said Muhammad Sabir, a pir of village Mubarakabad in Bahawalnagar, gained popularity over the last five years for his ability to perform ‘miracles’.

He said on Tuesday, he announced that he could breathe life back into a dead man. The pir gave the condition that the victim must be married and have children.

Sabir said 40-year-old Muhammad Niaz, a daily wage worker and father of six children, volunteered for the miracle.

On Wednesday, Niaz was placed on a table in a square and his hands and legs were bound.

The police spokesman said Sabir then sliced his throat as people looked on.

Meanwhile, an anonymous caller informed the police about ‘the miracle.’ The spokesman by the time police reached, Niaz had died.

Witnesses said Sabir uttered some words to bring him back to life. They said when he realized his ‘miracle’ had not worked, he tried to flee.

He was detained by the villagers and handed over to the police. Villagers told police that he used ask a local pet store to donate birds and dogs so that could save villagers from black magic.

They said he sacrificed animals and sprinkled their blood on his followers. He also asked them to sprinkle it at the entrance of their houses to be protected from evil.

A FIR against the cleric has been lodged in Saddar police station. The body of the victim was taken to the tehsil headquarters hospital for autopsy and later handed over to the family for burial.

Samina, sister of the victim, told The Express Tribune, that her brother had sacrificed himself for the spiritual leader.

“Why should I mourn when I know that my brother is in heaven?” she said. “He will be rewarded for his services for the spiritual leader in afterlife.

She said her brother had volunteered for the miracle and that the pir should not have been arrested.

Some people may go to these gatherings for genuine zikr reasons which i agree is good. But what i have a problem is with vultures who be waiting inside. I seen it so much times one of members will blink to one another if a stranger walks in with the hope of recruiting this person. I was personally told by one member that the sheikh of the tariqa said to them that it is farz for each member to bring in ten members with him.

i am not as forgiving like you spiderman. in fact, i reckon its mostly show-off and selfishness rather than selflessness and thinking that thy owe the group. they are mostly there for selfish reasons

One of the main reason people find themselves in a cult is because they think they owe something to the group. The reason why this happens is because initially when coming to the gatherings he/she is over welcomed. Once the person feels he/she owes the group he/she is willing to do anything for it. I seen this happen even if very visibly the shaykh or the mureeds are breaking shariah no one dare say a word and if he does he is discarded.

The reason why people join a cult (especially the sunni folk) is because they got no where else to go. The only thing that seems to be up and running at the moment is naat khawaani (which is good). But we must have a bigger objective for eg talks and lectures on hadith I dont know a single (sunni) Masjid in birmingham that has dars hadith class in english. I have been told by some that shaykh Asrar sahib has dars of hadith in one of the masjid in birmingham but there is hardly any attendees.

i would use the example of a conscious genocidal psychopath. unless he changes his ways, and comes to the doctor begging to be cured, with the sincerest of tawbahs, then i believe the doctor should treat him, but still keep his/her distance until he/she is sure that the psychopath has mended his/her way and is sincere .. then he/she can show pity and care for that maniac

affection is the wrong word but my point is they do not cease to be muslims unless they believe it is not haram. that's all. it is an unnatural act for sure. but it is the sick who need a doctor not the healthy...

brother Asif, i cannot show affection to a homo .. in a village of your native land Punjab, if you ask an old grand-mother about homosexuals, she will reprimand them and advise everyone to stay away from those creatures. They know the truth, yet they continue to be sinners in public.

Brother Wadood, homosexuality is a mortal sin and against the teachings of islam which, if proven, carries a hadd punishment in an islamic state. i have always maintained that it is haram but to hate the sin, not the sinner. if muslims commit homosexual acts, they are doing a big sin but they are still Muslims. that's my position, and they still deserve our love and affection as muslims.

brother Asif, is it true that you defend homosexuality? even animals know that they have to go to females out of natural instinct

yes bro. a little bit by attire they seem to be Iranian Kurds. They happen to be Shafi'i Sunni. i do not believe the Shafi'i madhab teaches one to shave off the beard and keep hair like women. They could be from 'Iraq's north eastern provinces where this practice is most prevalent, and population similar. However, this practice is of kurds of the south in Iran. They pierce their bodies too.

They are saying Ya 'Ali Madad, and dancing around like monkeys. In these areas there is a sizeable population of yarasanism/Alevism/Ahle Haqq, who i do not believe are Muslims

If these Kurds truly are mureeds of the Qadiri tariqa, they should take a troll out and give da'wa to the hundreds of thousands of kufr ridden shiites just outside the Maqam of Ghawth Paak raDyAllahu 'anhu. Almost all areas are shiite there now, especially the Shurjaa Market right next. What are they doing? What is stopping them, except their dunya parasti? These are not sufis.

i know tonnes of shiites and wahabis, BOTH, making fun of "soofees". This is why feeble hearts people among sunnis are leaving and becoming shiite and wahabite

there is a difference between that statement and acting literally like a dog..... i can't believe you're defending this nonsense..... you see like perfect recruitment material for some of these pseudo sufi groups

There are other ways they can show their doghood. Why make a public show? A lot of jahalat in 'Iraq. No wonder 'Iraqis were duped into becoming Shiite or wahabite

And now even the kurds are being labelled as "barelwi".. hahahahaha. i do not believe these kurds would have an idea of where Bareilly is
