A short book on Taqwiyatul Iman should be written that covers:
    • Why it is offensive/blasphemous with short refutations
    • The different versions of the book published to date, including translations
    • It's history and promotion by Deobandis from when the book was first released to now - Deobandi publishers that printed and distributed the book (publisher names, cities, etc.), Deobandis that translated the book, Deobandis that promoted or praised the book, etc.

Does this make deobandi Mujassema as Well? In the last chapter of Kitab at Tawheed ibn Abdul wahab attributes Hands and feet to Allah azawajal. Can't these deo-hypocrites see that this contradicts Ashari aqeedah. Yet they still class mr. Wahab as a sunni ulema... ridiculous...He himself wouldve done takfir on the deobandi elders because of his corrupt stance on those who do Tahweel

    FATWA FROM DEOBAND - http://darulifta-deoband.org/showuserview.do?function=answerView&all=en&id=37703
What is your opinion about Muhammad ibn Abdul-Wahhab and in particular his aqidah book Kitab al Tawhid? I had the chance to study the book, but then a scholar told me that the author (Abdul-Wahhab) was deviated in aqidah to the degree that he even fell out of Ahl Sunnah al-Jamah. Do you agree with this statement? And what is the ruling on Salafi aqidah in general, is it within or outside Ahl Sunnah al-Jamah?

    (Fatwa: 1372/1345/N=1433)

    (1) Shaikh Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahab Najdi (رحمة الله عليه) is not out of the folk of Ahl Sunnah al-Jamah but in some rulings (Masail) he is so strict like Allama ibn Taymiya and ibn al-Qayyim (رحمهم الله). His book Kitab al-Tauhid is a nice book on the subject, but one should avoid where he has gone strict.
    (2) It is against the final opinion of the Ulama of Deoband to declare Shaikh (رحمة الله) out of the folk of Ahl Sunnah al-Jamah. For details see the book “Shaikh Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahab Ke Khilaf Propaganda Aur Hindustan Ke Ulama-e-Haq Par Us Ke Asarat” by Hadhrat Maulana Muhammad Manzoor Nomani (رحمة الله).
    (3) The maslak of earlier elders of Ahl Sunnah al-Jamah regarding the real meaning of Allah’s Attributes is to keep quiet, while the later Ulama of Ahl Sunnah al-Jamah i.e. Ashairah, and Maturidiyah allow in the degree of possibility to have such a meaning which is not against the dignity of Allah the Almighty; e.g. to mean power with hands and Allah’s self with face. Thus if by Salafi belief you mean the belief of silence regarding the real meaning of Allah’s attributes then those who follow it shall not go out of Ahl Sunnah al-Jamah, though nowadays some people of the same belief have adopted the extremist attitude which is wrong as per the Shariah and in the light of the differences of past elders (salaf). But if by Salafi belief you mean the Ghair Muqallidin as they too call themselves as salafi, then since they have differences in some important and basic rulings with Ahl Sunnah al-Jamah such as the refusal of Hujjiyat Ijmah and Qiyas etc, therefore they are out of the Ahl Sunnah al-Jamah without any doubt. One should stay away from them.

and what did nadwi do? he bowdlerized the whole thing, yet, the filth of ismayil paleed and the stench of that putrid book couldn't be suppressed.

may Allah ta'ala give these munafiqin and mufsideen what they deserve and treat them with His `adl.

abu Hasan al Nadwī translated ismāiyl al Dehlawīs Taqwiyyat al Īmān into Arabic upon the instruction of zakariyyah kāndehlawī.

    ---

the cover face of the small tract boasts this fact.

    ---

for quite some time I perused zakariyyah's works, looking for something that would echo the sound of a culture of disrespect - that is, the deōbandī belief system. for the deōbandīs oft-promote zakariyyah as a moderate; a Sūfī, a muHaddith, and an [*****] who died in Madīnah Munawwarah.*

this PR is particularly useful when it comes to promoting his works in the arab world - his single volume Hayāt al SaHābah can now be purchased in 20+ volumes with the marginal notes of a Damascene researcher.

    ----------

but alas! the putrid stench of a man who lacks veneration for our Master (Prayers and salutations be upon him) is never contained in this world, and a munāfiq is never remembered as an 'Āshiq. unless I am mistaken, this was one of his last actions before death; commissioning Nadwī with this translation.

may he take his seat in the lowest pit of Hell with his elders.

    ----------

    * i couldn't bring myself to write 'Āshiq, even in citing aggrandised deōbandī portrayals of him.

I can vaguely remember from a talk that one of the devs (one of the Kandahlawi's?) asked a Nadwi (Abul hasan ali nadwi?) to translate Kitab al-Tawhid into Urdu. This was mentioned by the translator in the introduction of the book. Does anybody know the details?

A second question: What was in general the attitude of the devs towards kitab al-tawhid?
