A child is not mukallaf (legally responsible).

There are different types of dots the women place on their foreheads. One dot is placed by Bengali and Indian women which is cultural. The one that has a religious connotation is different.

These rulings are based on u'rf (custom). If the person lives in a society where this is the norm then ignorance is not an excuse.
Like someone wearing a crucifix in Britain.

  2. leave it alone brother. Rahat Fateh has sung many songs that have KUffriyah meaning. What would you say for the following lyrics. "Tu na jaane aaspaas hai Khuda"?

'Ilm-e-Deen is a rarity these days!

    1. what if a child (non baligh does it) ?

    2. and what if a jahil muslim does it. for example, wears a chandan tika on her forehead out of fashion, and not knowing it has a religious connotation? is she a kafir?

In the 1970s, a filmi song became very popular in Mumbai: "Dum Maro Dum, Mit Jaey Gum, Bolo Subh Shaam, Hare Krishna Hare Raam" This is outright kufr.

Unfortunately, this song was played on speakers at a 'Muslim wedding'. Some day later the same family invited Ghaws-ulWaqt, Huzoor Mufti-e-Azam Hind, Maulana Mustafa Raza Khan (RAA). Another sunni brother informed him of this 'act'. Huzoor Mufti Azam gave the fatwa of kufr on all those who were responsible for 'playing' this song or 'enjoying' hearing this song. The entire household, - including the newly wed couple - had to recite the kalema again, and do 'tajdeed' of nikaah.

Yet we now have IDIOTS doubting Dr Tahir's kufr at Wembley.

    O Allah, save us all!

naqshbandi, keep your word and go back to reading.

read bahar e shariat before you post here asking silly questions and arguing against fatawa muslim children should know.

    wa's salam.

intention is irrelevant in matters of sareeh (open and leaving no room for interpretation) sayings/actions of kufr.

to give an example - if someone willingly and knowingly wears a crucifix or bows to an idol, be it for a joke, or for acting - he has left islam, regardless of intention. see any fiqh books of any madhhab in the chapters on apostasy and sareeh stuff

if it is by force (like someone ties a person up, and hangs a crucifix in his neck) or he does it under the threat of losing life/limb, as stated, that is different.

if you are doing sajdah tilawat and someone comes and places an idol while you do not see, obviously you are guilt free.

the words "ek but banaunga tera aur puja karunga, arey mar jaunga agar pyar duja karunga" are sareeh kufr and poetic metaphor is unacceptable. likewise with songs like "qudrat ne banaya hoga fursat se tujhe" or "rab se bhi zyada tujhe pyar karti/chahti hun" or "khuda ko majboor kar dunga" or "rab bhi majboor ho jayega" or "khuda ko bhi jhuka dengey" or "haseeno ko aatey hain kya kya bahane, khuda bhi na janey" - these are all words of sareeh kufr, and if the singer was a muslim, he has left islam and his marriage has become null and void. any further relations with the spouse would be zina and the children born thenceforth would be children of zina! a person who appreciates these songs and praises them or murmurs them appreciatively, comes under the same ruling! ALL of their good deeds prior to this apostasy have just been put in a square bracket and multiplied by a big fat ZERO!!!

such people need to renounce the apostasy and say the shahadah with the conscious intention of re-entering islam or else all their "good deeds" like namaz, fasting etc. are useless; and they need to renew their marriages after re-entering islam, (and also renew a ba3yat with a shaykh if they wish). if they had done a hajj, they lost it, and need to do hajj again. saying the kalimah as a force of habit or during the tashahhud in namaz does NOT count as saying the shahadah and re-entering islam

i'm not making takfeer of rafi, but the words are sareeh kufr and the singer (notice i did not use a personal name in stating the takfeer, but nonetheless the song has been sung by rafi) and the one who appreciates such a song is indeed a kafir unless he repents and re-enters islam. i don't know and don't wish to investigate on the state of rafi's personal islam and/or repentance. it is irrelevant to me.

    it DOES.

"acting" is not a shariah-defined 3udhr (excuse) or a shariah sanctioned career! read more books of fiqh and what the shariah accepts as 3udhr and what it doesn't!

Every year during the ganesh-festival, papers are abuzz with news of how the muslim residents of xyz locality(usually in Mumbai) 'celebrated' with their hindu neighbours and displayed a sense of brotherhood and bla bla bla....

I don't know for sure but apparently many jahil-muslims in mumbai take their deen from the khans!!!

We seek refuge with Allah .

see the chapters of apostasy in any standard book of fiqh of any madhhab (even books of masail have them, if memory serves me well, bahare shariat too has this chapter)

the above (drinking alcohol saying bismillah) is apostasy and takes one outside of islam.

both indian and pakistani showbiz people use bismillah, in sha Allah, ma sha Allah, etc. only to emotionally blackmail the masses to show them that they too are connected to deen and iman, when in fact most if not all are apostates.

according to Ala Hazrat, just applying the chandan tika on one's forehead makes one a kafir - as is the ruling by all mujtahid fuqahaa that applying any discerning symbols of the kuffar on one's person makes one a kafir. like tying the zunnar or wearing the crucifix and so on.

these kinds of rulings on what is apostasy and what keeps one in islam are actively avoided and censored by the commercial ulema like nuh "not intrinsically impossible to lie" keller, faraz rabbani, gibril haddad, mark hanson, tim winters, padri tahir et al, because they work only to make people happy and cannot afford to be labeled as 'extremists' who 'kafir this and kafir that'

people like aamir khan, salman khan, shah rukh khan who do not believe it sinful to marry hindus are out and out kafirs and their children are children of zina, and those who know about them and these rulings are themselves kafir if they consider such people muslim or doubt their kufr or their unending punishment in the hereafter should they die in this state (as is the ijma3 of the fuqahaa on such issues). salman khan and salim openly participate in ganesh puja and keep his idol at home for 10/11 days during the chaturthi, just as the hindus do. shah rukh khan openly says he tells his kids to respect the idols and also kiss the quran at the same time (Ala Hazrat emphatically says that anyone who does 99 sajdahs to Allah and even one to an idol is a pure unadultered kafir and a half)

nearly all of them bow to idols or ring the ghanta in mandirs when they're "acting" in movies. that's all willingly leaving islam and becoming apostate.

the only circumstances when a muslim is allowed to say/act a kufr is if he is under threat of losing life or a limb (literally) and in his heart he believes against the kufr, and then too the awla thing to do is to let the zdhalim take away life/limb

even rafi who was supposedly "barelvi" if i'm not mistaken, had a song saying "ek but banaunga tera aur puja karunga, arey mar jaunga agar pyar duja karunga" which is pure apostasy and takes the singer outside of islam as well as the person who enjoys and appreciates such songs. there are many other such songs churned out by the industry.

    ----

this is another grouse i have with our subcontinental Muslim ulema. they should openly declare apostates movie stars who bow to idols and sing kufriya songs and believe in inter-faith marriages being allowed and all and such fatawa should be well publicized to the masses. the only people who have done it at a grass roots level, as far as i know, are the brothers at dawate islami

they have no idea how much the film industry has misguided the ummah in the subcontinent and misguided is a very light term.

so many muslims are shy to use the name of Allah in front of kafirs and use the politically correct anthropomorphic "upar wala"

muslim religion, culture and morality is minimal in india and exists in only the most "extremist" of families; and a bizarre one size fits all, all-india sense of religion, culture and morality is well established in india right now. it started right from independence and has only gained firmer ground right now, and then too it was given a turbo boost by the film industry.

rahat fateh ali khan is touring the UK soon and it's most annoying that they keep showing him personally advertise his shows on asian channels. at the beginning, he says: assalamu alaykum, namaste, sat sri akal.

the latter two are both greetings of the kuffar and mushrikin so this guy would probably be in serious trouble from a shar'yi point of view.

related: i detest it when muslim showbiz people say inShaAllah, maShaAllah when they are talking about haram activities. it's like saying bismillah before cracking open a can of beer.
