I can not believe this thread has been allowed to get to this stage.

Admin/Mods should have deleted this thread as soon as it came up.

Sacred was here to cause mischief and he has achieved it.

There is no doubt that Molana Arshad is not a sullah kulli.

Why brother Aqdas should have to answer for his brothers actions is beyond me.

I hope brothers and sisters see through this and realise that the real target is not Molana Arshad but is actually brother Aqdas.

It was a way of sacred getting at Aqdas as he had no other way.

I remember a few years ago before Allamah Misbahi was speaking to me and in the casual conversation I mentioned I was out of town and read Jummah in a ceertain place. It turned out to be a deobandi masjid.
Upon hearing this he bad language edited (just say 'reprimanded' next time) me severely and then took me into a room to explain why I shouldn't read behind them (this was many years ago before I knew too much about the differences etc).
I have heard him many times speak out again deobandis.

I am aware of what you've pointed out. My comment still stands as a plausible possibility. And yes, along side that, I would expect the Sunnis in question to be openly against deo/deviant doctrine etc and expose their fallacies whenever the opportunity arises and it is right to do so.

the logic could be used only if the person openly criticises deviants and shows that he is not buddies with deviants.

the important thing is the outcome; when you are teaching students, and talk about sunniyat and criticise deobs, you are doing a good thing. but when you are on a stage sharing with deviants - people interpret that as 'nothing wrong with the deviant' and thus begin promoting him, attending OTHER events where the deviant goes {"he was on the same stage as mawlana-X who is well-known sunni}, which is association-fallacy in reverse.

don't use a hammer for everything - try some wrenches too.

    Allah ta'ala knows best.

The same logic could also be used elsewhere I.e. Where Sunni scholars are criticised for attending a Sunni event (Sunni organisers) where there is also one or two deviants or controversial figures. If they don't go and show themselves then what's the likelihood of ties being broken and, come next year, there are yet more deviant guests to fill the void.

Shatri was there for one day I assume, as a reciter and judge in a recitation competition. He is no longer there but our Sunni scholars like Allama Misbahi Sahib are. surely that's a good thing it is them who are there and not some deos etc.

Unfair to call Hafiz Muhammad Arshad Misbahi a Sullha Kulli. Just because you sat or sit with someone who is different in view does not make you a Sullah Kulli. He may have been misinformed.

if all the sunni teachers walked out, would they close the college; or replace the sunni teachers with more devs?

The aforementioned sulh kulli qira'at event was arranged by the Oldham Islamic College (affiliated to and was opened by students of JAK), which Arshad Misbahi Sahib teaches at (maybe he has left now but he is still on the staff roster on the website as of today).

At this college they have a teacher there by the name of Sajid ur-Rehman Qadri who studied at the Deobandi Dar al-`Ulum Bury - he started in September of last year and still teaches sarf, nahw and fiqh there as of a month ago. He openly praises his ' dar al-'ulum ' to students there and is quite open about where he studied. This is quite clearly a sulh kulli institute, even Deobandi graduates are allowed to teach there. I do not understand why Arshad Misbahi Sahib or any other Sunni would continue to teach there whilst aware of all these issues?

AbdalQadir time to move along! will check pm's.

i've said it a bunch of times on this forum, as well as elsewhere in real life

Sunnis living in the west MUST make use of the laws of those countries and actively and ruthlessly sue people who misuse their names without their consent.

Aqdas, please ask your brother or anyone else whose name and picture has been posted without their consent as patrons to that event, to hire a lawyer and sue the owner of that site, along with filing a police complaint.

the ahlul bid3ah must be hurt right at their wallets

this trend is becoming quite prevalent where people advertise popular shuyukh or personalities as patrons to certain events only to pull in the audiences and fill up their auditoriums. it's happening in both Sunnis as well as non-Sunnis.

my friends had told me about a gathering of Sunnis in india where some popular personality's name and picture appeared on a poster and that person was not involved or even aware of the event in any way.

Also ask him whether he even said one word to shatri at that event or met him or prayed behind him or sat next to him (he did none of these).

Btw, I agree that he shouldn't have attended.

Yes and moreover, he doesn't know who runs the page.

Arshad misbahi does not run that Facebook page and doesn't even know who does. He didn't post that event.

if you include arshad misbahi in this, then by all means anyone can ask him if he considers perennialism as kufr. Ask him also what he thinks of dev4 and rafidis and Salafis and about praying behind them and if he considers anyone apart from sunnis as rightly guided.

Once you've asked him, go ask shaykh yaqubi the same questions. We can then see if any of them are sulh kulli.

I can tell you what arshad misbahi will say if you can't be bothered to ask him: "dev4 are kafir - rafidis are heretics - Salafis are innovators at the least - Tafzilis are innovators - perennialism is kufr - tahir jhangvi is a mad man - praying behind innovators is makruh tahrimi - the only path to jannah is to die a sunni - Alahazrat's aqidah and methodology is 100% correct."

I remember the time in Warrington when a speaker wouldn't say 'deobandi'. Arshad misbahi pulled him up at the end and said: 'why didn't you say deobandi when refuting? You should.'

Does that sound like a sulh kulli?

It's worth it for the lulz
Judging on the apparent: what have the scholars on that poster done against the Sunni creed for you to judge them?

    oh boy.

the resident zindiq who had been banned, has come back with his same old verbal diarrhea.

this deaf, dumb, blind zindiq has been told time and again that who is and who isn't a Sunni is defined by adherence to the Sunni creed, and that we are in fact COMMANDED to "judge" and act on the apparent by the Prophet himself, 3alaihis salam.

and yet like an A-grade beghayrat you come back to grow this abu hassani sect even after you were actually shown the door.

dunno about the others but my strategy is get the bat the first inning, by hook or crook, and then just tell donkeys like you "ok you win, we're not interested in fielding" and leave the ground!

the look on the faces of the likes of you makes it worth a million bucks!

edit: zindiq edited his post #8 after my rant. i opt to leave my post intact. he was raving on and on about who are you to judge who isn't a Sunni bla bla bla.

Absolutely disgusted to see Asims name is on the list especially after he has been made aware about Ninowy! The least Asim could have done is made Pirzada aware!

Brother AH it was a failure last year. The few that attended were seriously disappointed.

They've added all these people to the list most of these won't even be attending.

I would be more worried about the Habib Ali al Jifri tour of the UK coming up start of next month with Abdul Hakim Murad, Ahmed Babikir etc

they had invited junaid jamsheed; and only when the whole world was howling, they (probably reluctantly) withdrew from him; so what is stopping them from inviting tariq jameel?

anyone who goes to that function and calls himself a sunni has no ghayrat. he is so greedy of dunya and afraid of cheap people in it, that he is willing to barter his principles. [however, there are a few arab scholars on that list, who may have a valid excuse of not knowing things and are attending as invitees].

does any of these 'big scholars' have the guts to say that blasphemy against the prophet sallALlahu alayhi wa sallam is kufr and punishable by death? i don't think any of them has the courage to openly criticise perennialism - call perennialists as kafirs.

i encourage brothers in the UK to make this event a failure or at the least get sunni ulama to speak against such sulH kulli gatherings.
i encourage brothers to expose these celebrities, who go to glittering functions just to make sound bites, instead of safeguarding sunni aqidah.

inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un.

now the 2015 event has a zohar promoter yazdani on it too. all imdad pirzada is to invite a few swamis, get a photo-op with tahir jhangvi, and mark nuh keller as special invitee. just to rub in some salt, and to demonstrate that the ghayrah of sunnis is dying, don't be surprised if imdad pirzada or his sulH kulli university invites Tariq jameel or mahmood madani.

jamia karam appears to be the hotbed of sulH kullis. sunnis of UK are sleeping - boycott jamia karam.

remember pir abdul qadir E17? he did not heed the warnings, and thought that his rep would help him tide over his errant ways. but things caught up with him and his own admirers deserted him; and he is now left to raving like a madman. thus, it is the fate of those who abandon the cause of sunniyat. they will be humiliated in this dunya and the hereafter.

looks like it is time to examine pirzada and jamia karam closely - what are they doing? are they sunnis? or are they sell outs?
