Scholars haven't even permitted women to write, AlaHazrat and other famous ulama have spoke about the fitnah of women knowing how to write and have based their view on a hadith which says not to teach women to write.
e-mailing a scholar at his personal id is still dangerous. there have been umpteen cases (some posted on the forum) where personal correspondences via internet have led to trouble. an e-mail is even less safe compared to a letter sent via postal service. query: have scholars permitted women to send letters to a scholar's home address to seek shara'i rulings?
The religion is easy, that is for face to face. Now you can email any Scholar anywhere in the world or email any Fatwa site. Stop falling for the devil's tricks. He wants people to become anxious. Relax, type the question and hit send.
Regarding the issue of seeking the answer to a Shar’ī ruling, Baĥār-e- Sharī’at states: If a wife requires an answer about Shar’ī ruling, then she should ask her husband if he is a scholar. If he is not, then she should ask him to get the answer from a scholar for her. In these cases, she is not allowed to see a scholar herself, but if none of these cases exist, then she can visit a scholar. (Baĥār-e-Sharī’at, part 7, pp. 99; ‘Ālamgīrī, vol. 1, pp. 341)
Any situations where it might be allowed? E.g. aalim is very old or women are very old? Is there any scope at all (rukhsah) for permission if the aalim is young and women are young too? Disclaimer: I'm not hunting for rukhsah but just want to know if the people doing this have any justification at all.
There's a trend for male ulama to teach female students where he can see them and they him without any barrier. They're not wearing niqab either. Is this permissible?
