this looks dubious to me. can someone cross-check with the naseem-al-shaam website? and how authentic is this fatwa given that now the website is probably run by his son/students. The shaykh is not around to defend himself or clarify this attribution to him.

    Allah ta'ala knows best.

    so according to him:

    1. have the Christians - stopped worshiping Jesus (Eisa alayhe asSalaam)?

    2. Or have they too become "believers" (ahle Imaan) like Dogtor Tahir claims?

They're saying it no longer has a religious relevance. Habib Ali says:

'A legal principle (qa’ida fiqhiyya) states: “A judgement depends on its cause” (al-hukmu yaduru ma’a ‘ilatihi wujudan wa ‘adaman). The cause which led to some scholars forbidding congratulating (the cause was affirmation of the others’ religious beliefs) no longer remains and thus the impermissibility of congratulating also no longer remains'

Allah's Apostle (Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) said, "You would tread the same path as was trodden by those before you inch by inch and step by step - so much so that if they had entered into the hole of the lizard, you would follow them in this also. We said, "Allah's Apostle, do you mean Jews and Christians (by your words)" those before you "? He said, "Who else?"

This is what happens when you follow hippies!

Footage of a Muslim girls choir singing Christmas carols at a church concert has emerged from from the Lebanese capital of Beirut. The ensemble of around 40 girls can be seen in a video singing ‘Silent Night’ in Arabic at St Elie Greek Catholic Church, located in a majority Muslim neighbourhood of the city.

Iraq's Muslims celebrate Christmas in solidarity with Christians countrymen.

Muslim businessman Yassir Saad has spent around £ 19,000 on a huge artificial tree to help Iraqis "forget their anguish" over the war against Isis.

A married Muslim couple said they were buying a small Christmas tree and some gifts because they chose to celebrate Christmas "like the rest of the Islamic holidays".

AbdalQadir time to move along! will check pm's.

it seems he has marked the christian feasts on his calendar. he greets his orthodox christian brothers too on 7th january.

and this year he has developed a special fondness for churches.

that almijher site seems wahabi in itself. see this is the problem. we need SUNNIS refuting this impostor. even if a wahabi is right in his rebuttal of jifry, he will be immediately dismissed as an anti-Ash3ari wahabi.

Thank you for sharing brother AbdalQadir. i too found this very distasteful. i believe they avoided the cross in the picture deliberately, and concentrated on the chandelier as if it resembled the huge chandeliers common in Mamluk/Ottoman mosques in the Middle East. Seems like he is playing some form of agenda based politics. He has a mixed message. While appealing to the christians, the zionist state is being labelled as the enemy. The evangelical zionist protestants are supporters of the zionist state.

The church is being presented as a refuge for palestinian fighters. i would not deny that christians are an integral part of Palestinian society, and that Palestinians Muslims and Christians have always been united in everything except religion, and that the zionists have been equally harsh on the Palestinian christians and the Muslims, but what is Habib Ali's message?

The Palestinian Christians are not Catholic nor Protestant. They are overwhelmingly Orthodox, and their christmas is on January the 7th.
