the Beloved Messenger of Allah sallAllahu alayhi wa aalihi wasallam said: it is wajib upon my ummah to love abu bakr [radi Allahu anhu]. and in another blessed hadith: it is wajib upon my ummah to love abu bakr [radi Allahu anhu] and to be thankful to him references: both blessed hadiths are compiled in as-sawaiq al-muharriqah of imam ibn hajar al haytami al-makki radi Allahu anhu

the prophet sallAllahu 'alaihi wasallam said: i have repaid the favour of everyone but abu bakr. he will get repaid in the hereafter.
7439- حدثنا عبد الله حدثني أبي ثنا أبو معاوية ثنا الأعمش عن أبي صالح عن أبي هريرة قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : ما نفعني مال قط ما نفعني مال أبي بكر فبكى أبو بكر وقال هل أنا ومالي الا لك يا رسول الله The Beloved Messenger of Allah sallAllahu alayhi wasallam said: No wealth has benefited me much like the wealth of Abu Bakr. Hearing this Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq Radi Allah Anhu cried and said: No one owns my life or my wealth except you O Messenger of Allah! Narrated by Ahmad in his Musnad, through a Sahih chain, from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah
and the best in his ummah will be Abu Bakr The Prophet, peace and salutations be upon him and his pure family, said, “Allah [the Exalted and the Glorified] created the throne and then He wrote with an illuminated pen, the span which is between the east and the west, “There is no god but God, Muhammad is the Messenger of God. It is because of him [the Prophet - peace and salutations be upon him and his pure family] that I will take and it because of him that I will give and the best in his ummah will be Abu Bakr”, Rafi’i narrates this from Salman, may Allah be pleased with them. i have just passed over a Hadith sharif, beautiful Subhan'Allah ummul mu'minin sayyidah ayesha siddiqah radi Allahu anha said: the Beloved Prophet sallAllahu alayhi wasallam said: abu bakr is from me and i am from abu bakr, in the duniya and aakhirah abu bakr is my brother. (narrated by al-daylami) al-firdaus: vol 1, pg 437, hadith 1780 kanz al-ummal: hadith 32550
“Farmaate hain yeh donoun hain sardaar e do jahaan Aey Murtaza 'Ateeq o 'Umar ko khabr na ho” (radi Allahu Ta’ala ‘anhum) Hadaaiq e Bakhshish This verse is a translation of this hadith: Abu Bakr and ‘Umar (radi Allahu Ta’ala ‘anhumaa) are more virtuous then those that came before and those that are to come, and better than all inhabitants of the heavens and the inhabitants of the earth, with the exception of the Prophets and the Messengers (‘alaihim al salaam). O 'Ali (radi Allahu Ta'ala anhu) do not inform them (Sayyiduna Abu Bakr and Sayyiduna 'Umar radi Allahu 'anhumaa). (Kanz al 'Ummaal)
