We will focus on the ten companions who were promised paradise, extracting from the most reliable historical sources, and learn about the salient features of their lives, how they interacted with the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace), their sacrifices, abstinence and worship. The virtues of Ramadan and fasting will be brought forth with an examination of relevant Qur'anic verses and Prophetic traditions.
