my friend has had more or less 10 cases of covid in his immediate and extended family, and ranging from utterly asymptomatic to tragic deaths. posting this only coz this is new info to me, and in public interest for anyone concerned. as far as my friend's advice is concerned - his suggestion is to get an oximeter and keep monitoring blood oxygen levels. if the average is under 85, then get a D-Dimer test, and if your D-Dimer result is not in the range for your age group, consult your doctor and take aspirin or another blood thinner. as per this brother, cases get severe only when D-Dimer is high. My friend is still sick but alhamdulillah seems to be recovering. His brother passed away on Wednesday 27th Jan at the age of 49. إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون Shaykh İlyas Attar Qadri also offered his condolences and prayers in an audio message on social media. Please do Eesale Thawab as much as possible for the deceased. May Allah have mercy on him, and all departed Sunnis.
His brother got covid too and has fever, weakness, and too much coughing, and this brother too is still sick. please continue your duas for these two brothers and all Sunnis affected by the pandemic. May Allah Grant them shira with long life to help Islam.
a dear brother from karachi, one of my good friends and also an elder brother, based in subsaharan africa has just tested positive for corona. he has a lot of coughing and weakness too. mashaAllah him and his circle of Islami bhais have done enough grass roots work (knowledge-based, as well as money-based) to upend christian missionary work and stop/reverse riddah of poor Muslims in his surroundings and/or help people convert to Islam. please do pray for his recovery and good health, along with all Sunnis afflicted by covid, and may Allah safeguard us and our families. aameen.
