Ruling on women cutting hair?

  1. Just don't cut it so you look like a bloke and don't copy non muslims. But I'm not a Mufti so don't take my word for it.Apparently the Shafi'i allow cutting the hair short even and Allah Knows Best

    So Mufti Akmal is saying that if the hair is past the shoulders, it can be trimmed?
    If a woman's hair is much past her back and she can sit on it, then she is allowed to cut it?
    I understand from this video that women are allowed to cut and trim hair as long as it is not so short that it resembles men.
    Am I correct?

    Imam Haskafi (RA) has said “If a woman cuts her hair, she will be sinful and cursed. In al-Bazzaziyya it is added: “Even with the permission of the husband, as there is no obedience to the creation in disobeying the Creator.” (Raddul Muhtar)

    Fear Allah and forget the opinions of Jaahils of today, do not mutilate the natural beauty Allah has given you.

    What is the ruling for women cutting their hair in Islam? I am researching it but getting different answers.
