Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

This incident is written in "Al-Basharatul Muhammadiya" that once Sayyedina Khwaja Bayazid Butami Radi Allahu anhu inquired of Sayyedina Khizr alayhis 'salam as who was MAHDI(the guided once) and when he would be coming. Sayyedina Khizr alayhis 'salam replied "Allah Almighty is himself HADI(guide) and as to MAHDI everyone including yourself and myself has been charged with the task of imparting guidance and series of such guided person in succession have been appearing on the scene in the past ages and the future would also witness their comings and goings at the appointed time.

Hazrat Sayyedina Khwaja Bayazeed Bustami Radi Allahu anhu then ask in regard to the person blessed with the highest station in Wilayat. At this Sayyedina Khizr alayhis 'salam replied after the lapse of age of the rightly guided Khalifa's , a boy with the Hasani and Hussaini origin would be born in the highly honoured Saadat family. He is destined to occupy the place of Khilafat that would supercede the places of Gausiyat and Qutubiyat pre-eminently for all the times to come. His revered name would be Shaykh Syed Abdul Qadir Jilani Radi Allahu anhu. His advent would take place towards the end of Fifth Hijra century in Bagdad Shareef city of Iraq. All the Rijab-ul-Ghaib , Awliya , Gaus , Qutub , Akhyar , Abrar , Autab and Abdal constituting different grade of godly men would be subordinate to him, following his dictates in all the matter's. His title would be Gaus-ul-Azam Wal Baazul Ash-hab.
