I'm not his fan but contextually, what he said in the video is not something to get furious over. We can disagree, or feel no need to revive or revise the slogan, but he's just saying Ala Hazrat is a great mujaddid. (going by the posted video)

That said, I'm not a fan of slogans for the most part. They're a very subcontinental thing with no tangible benefits for the awam imo. It's better to do detailed education of the masses rather than take the shortcut substitute of inducing sloganeering in bayans. We all know the levels of knowledge of Sunni awam.

in the very least, he's been playing hide n seek on the matter as are so many big names.

all major Sunni scholars of Pak should issue a clear statement on tafdil and rifd and against taqiyyabaz rawafid/tafdilis like iran shah. they should also sign their attestation on the Bareilly fatwa.

if you saw the masses throng to the funeral of mawlana khadim husayn raHimahullah, it was because he held the torch lighted by imam ahmad rida khan. and illa ma'sha Allah, without imam ahmad rida khan, he would not have the gathering to hear him. and may Allah ta'ala reward him for reminding the public eloquently of who imam ahmad rida was:

couldn't of said it any better Mawlana Abu Hasan.
Maslake Alahazrat salamat rahe ek pehchaan deene Nabi ke liye.

i make dua may Allah protect the Ulama of Ahlus Sunnah.

i came to know that it was hashmi mian of kichaucha sharif. wAllahu a'alam.

in which case, people should stop calling him ghazi e millat - because there are hundreds and thousands of people who are more qualified and are doing real work than people like him who have made khitabat (speech making) look like a stand-up comedy. an imam of a masjid who puts in decades of his life for a pittance - thereby ensuring that the salat of hundreds of sunnis is valid is more deserving of being called a ghazi-e-millat.

what is the real contribution of these rich celebrity khatibs - except few - towards the overall betterment of society and teaching sunnis? they take half an aayat and talk for 2 hours with little substance, whereas those two hours can be utilised to teach the common people of a hundreds of things. and are quite rich. i do not envy their wealth or comfortable lifestyle (Allah gives to whom He wills and we do not criticise it) but the thousands of people - unsung heroes - who really give their blood and sweat to teach and preach Islam are the real ghazis.

the only reason hashmi mian was tolerated was because he is the son of a great man; and he was considered a 'barelwi' (= follower of alahazrat);and his excesses were overlooked. one can sit for two hours in his speech, which will give you nothing but silly soundbites and rehash of his elder brother mawlana madani miyan's speeches. in the 80s when almost none of the ulama spoke english, hashmi miyan would throw a few english phrases and became the darling of masses.

no student of knowledge takes him seriously - he is good enough for: "urdu ki surdu kardi aur hindi ki chindi kardi" or "man-chest-er".

    ---
i recently saw his video where he promotes a book that proves the iman of abu talib.

    ---
the "ahl e sunnat" (i.e. the public) that he is thinks are "ishq o mahabbat" would be fawning over deoband and najd, if it were not for alahazrat.

and if you say that he is talking about ulama - then we say: alahazrat IS the true representative of these ulama and he is the embodiment of the "jam'ah". else, the muslims of the subcontinent would look as lifeless and mechanical as the wahabis among arabs.

this is what mawlana madani miyan, who is a real scholar has said the following which is the truth:

    ----
if you saw the masses throng to the funeral of mawlana khadim husayn raHimahullah, it was because he held the torch lighted by imam ahmad rida khan. and illa ma'sha Allah, without imam ahmad rida khan, he would not have the gathering to hear him. and may Allah ta'ala reward him for reminding the public eloquently of who imam ahmad rida was:

I heard one khatib in India change the reply to:

Ahl e Sunnat Ahl e Sunnat

Because he said all Sunnis have ishq o mahabbat.

    Ishq o mahabbat
    Ishq o mahabbat
    Alahazrat Alahazrat

What a beautiful slogan. No need to change the reply to anything else.
