mercury is the only metallic element that is liquid at room temperature. when heated, it evaporates.
in common experience, the mercury inside a thermometer rises with temperature.

quicksilver or paara, is the name for mercury. in poetry and idiomatic usage, it is used to indicate restlessness or hyperactivity.

    ---
with this background on paara let us examine this sublime couplet.

paa-e-shah par girey yaa Rabb, tapish e mihr se jab
dil e betaab uDey Hashr meiN paara ho kar

    paa: feet
paa e shah: the feet of the King, the master - sayyiduna RasulAllah sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam
    girey: to fall
ya Rabb: o my Lord Almighty Allah (i.e. beseeching Allah)
tapish: heat, affliction and distress caused by heat.
    mihr: the sun
dil e betaab: restless heart, anxious, worried, agitated, impatient, uneasiness (a heart ill at ease); also eager.
    uDey: fly
    Hashr: day of judgement
paara: quicksilver mercury (also, a pun on paarah, meaning small parts, pieces).

at the feet of the master, O Lord when (i/it) falls, by the heat of the scorching sun - and then
the eager heart (the anxious, worried, uneasy heart) may fly like quicksilver

    ---
that is a very basic translation. juxtapositions, puns, references abound.

When my heart is aching, may it fall at the feet of the master ﷺ due to the burning sun of judgement day

one who is only used to dealing/buying glass pieces all their lives, will not understand the value of a priceless diamond.
they will not know any difference and will scoff at those 'fools' who pay hundreds of thousands.

we all claim to be qadiris, but the below will come from only a true qadiri who is fana-fi'sh-shaykh:

mujh ko ruswa bhi agar koyi kahega to yuN-hi
ke wahi na? woh raza bandah e ruswaa teraa

this ingrate person who calls himself 'qadri' would probably have been a wahabi, if Allah ta'ala had not sent alahazrat in india. they would probably be praising yazeed and shouting hoarse that it is shirk to say 'ya ali madad!'.

    ----
there are many such ingrates in this world. petty minded, two-cent worth 'qadiris' think of themselves as great scholars descended from the sky, whereas they are not even worthy of touching the dust from the shoes of alahazrat. adding a mufti in front of their name is grand - but if anyone dares to sneer at alahazrat, i will certainly measure their worth, in sha'Allah. and i will not hesitate to give a report on how much they actually weigh.

what exactly is the contribution of this so-called mufti umair sahib?
    -----
alahazrat was a sha'yir - but a sha'yir par excellence. i was recently reminded of a shi'yr by alahazrat by a dear friend - and just reading the sheyr will give you wajd...if you have zawq that is:

paa-e-shah par girey yaa rab, tapish e mihr se jab
dil e betaab uDey Hashr meiN paara ho kar

    ---
    what a sheyr!
just to get everyone involved and interested - how many meanings can we draw from this sheyr?

I don't know why even some Sunnis have hatred for a person who taught us the real love of Rasool'Allah and his Ahle Bait and also his companions.
