quick trans: 2116: "RasulAllah sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam forbade striking [or slapping] on the face, and branding the face" 2117: from jabir that the Prophet SallAllahu alayhi wa sallam [saw] a donkey passing by which was branded on its face and he said: "may Allah damn the person who has branded it".
sahih muslim, #2116-2118. the chapter is captioned: "prohibition of slapping animals on their faces and branding them" the earlier post was imam nawawi's sharh "minhaj". it is in the middle of kitab al-zeenah. ok. i thought you'd caught the bug.
Hazrat i did not need a Hadith but a narration is always good when presenting something infront of someone.
Lol it was a real question, its okay I understand now. Yes but only if the brain is hit hard enough, when sparring contact is not even semi so the chances of causing even headaches are minimal, so does that still mean it's not allowed?
the face (and head) are very sensitive, as they hold the brain; injuries can cause permanent damage to brain function and memory. that is why it is forbidden. I am sure you have a brain. or you are a troll.
Walikum as Salaam. You have answered your own question. Now it will be a case of if your nafs is stronger than the desire to obey Allah and His Messenger SalAllahu Alaihi wa Sallim.
Assalaamu Alaykum, I go to train and practise kick boxing every week, for self defence purposes, and it involves striking the face, the Prophet Muhammad SalAllahu Alayhi Wa Salam forbade strike the face, so does this mean I would have to stop attending kick boxing?
