whatever they did to their brother sayyiduna yusuf 'alaihi afdalus salat wat-tasleem and his younger brother binyameen 'alaihi rahma wa ridhwan cannot be attributed to prophets, they repented from their wrongdoings and are considered as awlia kiram (May Allah subh'ano wa ta'ala be pleased with them)
is there a genuine difference on opinion about the brothers of sayyidina yusuf 'alaihis salam in regards to them being prophets? it was in a book of hakim ul ummat mufti ahmad yaar khan na'eemi [sharh mishkat or jaa al haq] that he said they were not prophets but i have also read/heard the opposite.
