    Jazak Allahu Khair may Allah Ta'ala give all Muslims the ability to visit the blessed Rawdah of the Prophet Muhammad Rasulullah sall Allahu a'laihi wa Aalihi wa Sahbihi wasallam Aameen thumma Aameen

    can anyone remember the first line of the couplet which i believe is by mufti e a'zam mawlana mustafa raza. the second line:

    عمل نيك بهى كيا تو چهپانے ﻨﮧ ديا
    'amal e neak bhi kiya to Chupaane na diya​

    ---
    all i know is that the first line contains the word nafs. and the meaning of the couplet is that it is the evil of the nafs that even if we do an act of piety, the nafs does not let us hide it. we boast about it.

    i read that this can be applied to the voluntary fast. someone invites you to eat but you do not tell them you're fasting. you make an excuse. so what you're actually doing is showing that you are hiding your good deed! which elaborates upon this from another thread:
