    Just poped up in my mind... its a punjabi couplet but i don't know who said it:

    Oh jannat mein koodi weechaan jithe tun nazrin na awayn

    Te oh doozakh meinoo lakh bahichtaan jithe tun peya aaweyn jaaweyn

    That paradise is worthless to me where i don't find you

    And that hell is worth a thousand times wherein you come and go

    Hazrat Shaykh Ibn al Farid :ra: was one of the greatest lovers of Our Beloved SAWS and his poetry is sublime especially his Qasida Khamriyya which begins,

    In memory of the Beloved

    we drank a wine;

    we were drunk with it

    before creation of the vine.

    asak

    I remember reading about one Shaykh who asked, "Will there be salah in paradise". When it was said "no", he said he'd rather not have it then!

    i don’t seek paradise to enjoy its bounties therein,
    except that i love it, so i can get to see Thee!
