similarly, 6:59 talks of the keys of the unseen belonging to Allah alone and the same verse later mentions the sacred tablet [lahw mahfuz] containing everything and the qur'an is an explanation of this as known in 10:37. this again shows that the verses wahabis use to deny ilm al-ghayb, the same verses explain the true creed.
It's very interesting to know that when Allah taught Adam Alaihis Salaam the "Names of everything", He showed him the objects and was taught the names. Even objects that were not created at the time were showed to him and he learned the names, their characteristics and their essence in all the languages. [Tafsir Ruhul Bayan] and one of the Mufassir (I think Imam Alusi) states that he was taught the knowledge of Ma Kana Wa Ma Yakoon. SubhanAllah!
it is interesting that the verse [16:89] which says rasulAllah sallAllahu 'alaihi wasallam is a witness for the whole of mankind from adam 'alaihis salam to qiyamah; the same verse says the qur'an contains everything. so, would it be permissible to say one aspect of him being a witness is because he has been taught the qur'an which contains everything, hence, it is as though he is a witness upon everything.
