Everyone knows the position of Shaykh Asrar regarding shaykh yaqoubi

No i didnt know the issues about Shaykh Yaqoubi at that particular time and his support for Hamza Yusuf

they are only liking the posts because they think he is a student of shaykh yaqoubi (and obviously if i state that i ate food at our beloved teacher shaykh yaqoubi's house they would like me too)

you have not answered my original question: Do you think he should clarify his position

and do you think he should be sharing events with people who sit with Abdul Hakim Murad & Shaykh Ninnowy?

Did you ever attempt to make contact with Shaykh Monawwar whilst he was at Lozells mosque to get clarification?

Shaykh Monawwar has spoken out many a times against deobanids.

Is there any Scholar in the UK student or ex student of Shaykh yaqoubi that has spoken out about them?

Think you might have missed these questions

    Lets start with these 3

    1) Shaykh Yaqoubi not retracting Ijazahs away from Hamza Yusuf
    2) Shaykh Yaqoubi talking about keeping Aqidah in the classroom
    3) Shaykh Yaqoubi sitting with deobandis

Shaykh Abu Hasan said: as long as shaykh monawwar makes his stand clear, these past messages are nothing.

lol Agent X... that breakdown of Noor Amjadi was classic... can't stop laughing ;)

Its people like him that come across so extreme in their words & views, they even make some misguided salafis look like nothing in comparison at times

If mureeds or lovers of Shaykh Yaqoubi are liking Shaykh Monawwars posts I dont see an issue? Surely is it not a good thing they follow and respect Shaykh Monawwar?

What is our stance? What stance does Shaykh Monawwar need to clarify exactly? What are the issues surrounding Shaykh Yaqoubi that we need to clear can you please list them

Sorry to keep you waiting :)

Noori Amjadi gets his knickers in a twist - he thinks he is the only true lover of Ala Hazrat on this side of the pond.

An example from last night one of his err moments of madness "Any scholar who claims to be on Maslak Ala Hazrat and says he loves Ala Hazrat yet he does video and pics, he is a victim of his own nafs."

He makes absurd claims to which he is yet to provide me proof e.g. saying that Allama Azmi read namaaz behind shias ive asked him numerous times for evidence but hes failed to provide any evidence, he takes the words of a shia over a sunni. He considers PAQ to be a sunni but says he's not Maslak e Ala Hazrat and thats why he broke bayah with him.

It's funny how he now says videos and pics arent allowed and broke bayah, he now speaks bad against the ulama that brought him on the right path. If it wasnt for the videos and refutations on PAQ he would still probably be a tafdili shia.

Dont worry about Noori he's all hot air

As for the question on Allama Saabs children being married to wahabis - where is his proof? Hearsay? He thinks he's the torch bearer of Ala hazrat in the UK I wonder if Ala Hazrat went on hearsay.

Accepting an award from Ahlul Bayt TV? I dont know, have they? Any videos or evidence on this?

Forgive my ignorance in this regard but is there an issue with regards to Shaykh al-Yaqoubi from an 'Aqida point of view? If there is then what exactly is it that scholars need to dissociate themselves from him?

Answer Q1) My Source has been from living around the shahdilis of Birmingham (the newer ones of them do not think Mufti Saab is against them) an example of that is just look on FB, THE LOVERS OF SHAYKH YAQOUBI page still quoting Mufti Monawwar (that particular post has over 300 likes so that is at least 300 people who think Mufti Saab is fine with Shaykh Yaqoubi)

Answer Q2) I dont quite understand your question about mixing with these people. Which people?

Answer Q3) Nothing as long it is the Halal version but even then i dont support the advertising of global company who are known to sell Haram

    Question to you

    1) Do you not think Mufti Monawwar has to make his stance clear? Do you not think their is a need to make our stance clear with the awwam regarding shaykh yaqoubi?

please bare in mind mufti saab was very close to shaykh yaqoubi during the years of his coming up in the UK especially around the 2007 times.

Please look at this through the eyes of the masses and what they think

@BB jazakAllah for the input. If it's all sunnis then there doesn't seem to be much of a problem (I didn't realize it was a franchisee). In fact, I believe sunnis businesses should sponsor such events.

    wassalaam.

To answer the question of if the sponsors of the event are Muslim.. Yes Alhamdulillah all the companies are run & owned by Muslims, The subway branch that is sponsoring it is a Halal one run by fellow sunni muslim brothers who I believe own it through franchise.

I don't know how this 'sponsor' thing works for an event like this but it just seems unwise to let a corporate promote itself through an Islamic event. These people are mainly out for business and don't care for nothing but money.* Does anyone doubt that they are not really concerned about muslims or their well-being? Next thing you know, such retreats will suddenly become benchmarks to gauge the 'better-ness' of a group - whose retreats are more fun etc.? sunnis and deobandis might begin competing to get a corporate to fund their retreat.

That's when the game will get sinister, these businesses will be able to have their demands accepted or 'we will support the other retreat'.

And seeing how sunni channels are using airtime to collect donations it doesn't seem too far fetched to theorize that some or the other 'sunni' retreat will accept their terms and conditions, which can be as simple as 'yes, subway meat is halal' or worse, such as, "we dont want to come across as sectarians. we want to promote a healthy culture of tolerance and peace in the UK. So we will sponsor you only if you agree to a joint sunni-deobandi sports and dinner event where various members of the community will get to know each other and share ideas- you know, like an ideal brotherly community." It's a dangerous game. No matter who's playing it - no need to bring in specific individuals.

*does anyone know if these companies get tax exemptions for sponsoring such events?

1 - No Shaykh Yaqoubis mureeds do not think of Shaykh Monawwar as a very close student of Shaykh Yaqoubi (not sure wheree you've sourced this information from)

2 - Will Shaykh be mixing with these people you speak of? Do you have an itinerary that I can see, you seem to know something we don't...

3 - Whats wrong with being sponsored by Subway?

    Jazakallahu Khayron

Thank you very much Sayyidi Abu Hasan.

I was just using that quote as an example that the Maureeds of Shaykh Yaqoubi are still quoting Mufti Monawwar.

    1) Mufti Saab has not made his stance clear on Shaykh Muhammad al Yaqoubi therefore creating confusion (Alhamdullilah he has stopped attending his talks and sitting with him publicly for a long time) however people still believe he is a very close student etc
Surely it is a duty on Mufti saab to speak up and make himself free of Shaykh Yaqoubi's actions because he was one of the scholars who would heavily promote him in 06/07/08/09

    2) Also this retreat with people who mix with kellerites and others clearly doesnt help our cause.

    3) Not sure how wise it is to be sponsored by Subway a international company known to say Haram (even though their are few halal coming up and down now in the UK)

so, does one go back and rewrite history? we have posts on this very forum, in which i translated from shaykh yaqubi and we praised him in similar words. also ali jifry long ago. also hamza yusuf, even before that. and nuh keller. and AHM. gfhaddad and some others.

    ---
but, when we learned about what they've been doing we distanced ourselves from them. as long as shaykh monawwar makes his stand clear, these past messages are nothing.

@Abdul Qadir this is a quote from Mufti Saab's Facebook so he obviously is still a student of Shaykh Yaqoubi
The Shahdilis are still quoting this on pages such as Lovers of Shaykh Muhammad al Yaqoubi

MashaAllah my wife prepared a delicious vegetable chart this evening. Wish I could have offered it to you all!

It is narrated that Sayyiduna Ibrahim alayhissalam would go out of his home searching for someone who would come to his house and eat with him!....

I love feeding my guests what I like most. SubhanAllah, I remember the breakfast I would have at the blessed home of our beloved Sayyid Muhammad Abul Huda al-Yaqoubi when I was studying Sahih al-Bukhari at his home with two other respected ulama (one Lebanese
an the other from Algeria) in 2006. We would sit and study from around 7am till 12.30pm. Sometimes Shaykhuna offered us 'Fettoush' a mixed salad bowl with vinegar which he himself freshly prepared. He told us it was called fettoush because "it went into the stomach investigating its sickness
    and cured it". Wonderful mashaAllah.

His scholar's pen blog reads that

Graduate of Hazrat Sultan Bahu Trust, Birmingham. I completed the Traditional Islamic Sciences under my Shaykh `Allamah Rasul Bakhsh Sa`eedi, founder of Madrasa Faizan-e-Rasul, Birmingham. I received Ijazah's from the late Muhaddith of Makka Muhammad bin `Alawi Maliki in Makka, Dr Ahmad bin Abdillah Siraj al-Din in Halab, the Khalifa of Shaykh Dhia al-Din Madani and Mujaaz of Mufti-e-A`zam Hind Mustafa Ridha Khan`Allamah Manzur Ahmad Faizi in Madina, May Allah increase its nobility, Shaykhi wa Sayyidi Muhammad Abu al-Huda al-Ya`qubi, `Allama `Abdul Hakim Sharaf,my Noble Father Shaykhi Muhammad Abdullah Ateeq and many more.

I cant see the poster clearly but does it mention that a bunch of companies are sponsoring the retreat?

If yes, then are the owners of these companies muslims? why are they sponsoring an 'islamic' retreat?
