    JazakAllah Khair brother.

Yes I've already read The Killer Mistake some time back when it was first made available online, have also shared via a online library, Dropbox, Facebook, whatsapp etc.. It is a fantastic read, may Allah reward Abu Hasan and yourself for all the good work you do in producing the various books & translation to address issues that are important to preserve our Imaan in this current climate.

In sha Allah, when I find the time.

However, I recommend that meanwhile you read (it will be more beneficial) sidi abu Hasan's "THE KILLER MISTAKE"

Would be extremely helpful if the fatwa was also translated into English

The following are the gists of the statements of Salman Taseer:-

    1. Blasphemy Law in Pakistan is "Kala Qanoon" ( i.e. black or oppressive law).
    2. Promising "justice" to Aasiya Bibi - the christian lady convicted of blasphemy.
    3. Promising "freedom" and "protection" to Aasiya Bibi.
    4. Terming "Humanitarian Values" are greater than laws of Islam. (in other words, saying that Islamic law is against humanity)
    5. Saying "Mein aisey muftiyoN ke fatwoN ko jootey ki nok par rakhta huN" (I keep the decrees of such jurists, on the edge of my boot - i. e. I kick such decress, deeming them as trash).

Just the last one is enough to prove his infidelity.

The fatwa was given by Yemeni Shuyukh (and also others) - the Urdu translation is IN THIS THREAD.

I believe Shaykh Naveed Ashrafi has posted a video on his FB where he addressed the issue briefly and highlighted the world Kala kanoon used by Tahseer as being the offending jumla when he used it in relation to the current blasphemy law in Pakistan.

I also asked my brother in law who is also a very competent Sunni Alim, he too highlighted the word Kala kanoon as being the offending material that lead to taseers death.

Can anyone please provide a link where ulama have told the clear cut reasons that they deem taseer a gustakh?

Pakistan can not be secular and this filthy minority of secular atheists dont have any upper hand in Pakistan. There are very few secular elements in the army. Army is not for this filth. They are cleaning up the mess now. And that is a bad news for india and the west.

    spot on akhi.

they're worse than wahabis and shias put together.

and the perennialism peddled by the likes of lings, nasr and hanson is the bastard child of secularism.

The seculars look at all "mullahs" with the same eye. They do not differentiate, neither are they swayed by Tasawwuf or Righteous men. They get uneasy when religion is mentioned in public, but more uneasy when to them, and behave like atheists. They can do with little mentioning of Allah's name, but preaching is absolutely not allowed. i would describe this phenomenon as annihilation of religion. Its a life style. Its not just about separation of state and church. Its a new belief system.

The goal is to do away with the blasphemy law in Pakistan. The country is under severe international pressure on this law for the past decade. The final achievement would be to remove the laws against qadyanism. They say if mullahs are fearless then why "persecute" qadyanis?

To me, compared to shiites and wahabis, the seculars are a 1000 times filthier. They are atheists by practice and its self-imposed in the case of Pakistanis, which presents the slave driven mentality of some of these people, their hypocrisy, and inferiority complexes. They are children and do not fear Allah.

I think a lot of the confusion would end if for instance say the kufriya statement are on video then those videos be played to the Awaam by qualified Ulama who break them down and highlight the actual kufriya words and the implications of them on teseers imaan and society as a whole.

I remember a video of a Mowlana saab who did this kind of seminar to highlight the kufriya words of Tariq Zaleel in his Kufriya dua a while back... It's not really that hard to arrange, the formula is proven to work as many changed their views of Tariq Zaleel after seeing the Mowlana Saab's witty yet informative lecture.

Have ulama publicly released those statements of taseer which prove that he insulted rasulAllah sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam?

i think pakistan is a very polarized state. within the army itself there are extremely secular elements, and yet there are extremely Islamist elements. same in normal society.

of course the likes of secular scumbuckets like tahir who PRETEND to be Muslim are the absolute worst of the lot.

open seculars are a much lesser evil than the evil of those shayateen who pretend to be Muslims with beards but are secretly slaves of the secular imperialists.

Dawn is secular. The wretched secular shayateen in Pakistan are getting the iupper hand. They are becoming bold daily. india wants Pakistan to be secular. The whole world wants Pakistan to be secular. The devil seculars in Pakistan are to be found in both cities and within the army. The army has the biggest concentration of them. Turkish Ataturk influence is to blame. They are ready for an Algeria in Pakistan.

The seculars know that the "Mullah" will speak up; they say that the country has been hijacked by the "mullah". They know that the mullah has to be confronted. Beloved brother Mumtaz Qadiri is their chance!

The seculars want Pakistan to be secular. The Seculars are against Islam and Muslims.

The Supreme Court of Pakistan has - with lightning speed - turned down the appeal against the death sentence of Mumtaz Qadri, and also upheld the charges of "terrorism". In a counrty where it sometimes takes 10 years to resolve cases in the SC, this haste is a proof that this is being done at the behest of and to please someone else.

The media - DAWN News - reports it as a victory for justice. What an utter shame.

Hazrat Allama Syed Shah Turab ulHaque Qadri sahab has made an urgent appeal to all Sunni Ulema and Imams to speak up against this tyranny, especially in Friday sermons tomorrow.

his supporters' chanting such slogans to repeal blasphemy laws or displaying them on placards shows that this is what taseer himself believed in and wanted.

he was against the spirit of the law itself, rather than just venting out against its alleged abuse and misapplication in pakistan.

the farthest extent of such an act would be apostasy, not blasphemy unless he too repeats or supports or condones such a saying.

we have said already that only in an islamic state, an islamic sovereign can enforce these punishments.

this is open to interpretation - he could have meant a particular set of muftis who criticised and if he really meant to denigrate all scholars of islam, it would be riddah.

he is saying that it is wrong for a citizen of an Islamic state to take the law into his own hands and execute the blasphemer, but rather he should take the matter to the relevant authorities and let the law run its course.

to draw an analogy, zakat is fard and in a proper Muslim state, the state officers can/will collect zakat from people and distribute it to the poor. if someone does this collection and distribution on his own without state sanction, then that act of collection and distribution is wrong in that it is not giving the law its due run and a confusion and an administrative nuisance for the relevant authorities. not that zakat itself is wrong (al-3eyadhu billah)

this is what he is getting at, so i think.

of course, what kind of a Muslim state pyara Pakistan is, is anyone's guess!

true, but what do you say what would be the ruling in the light of the following circumstances.

    - someone who tries to vindicate a blasphemer when he/she has already admitted his/her crime and an sate appointed judge has issued a death penalty for him/her.

    - when by the law of the state a governor cannot be taken to court, and he supports a blasphemer.

    - when ulama issued fatwa on him and the subject person publicly said that those muftis are like scum on the tip of my shoe (mairi juti ki nok par hain).

jazakAllahukhayran for a thorough and very informative reply. I agree to everything written above.

A special thanks for mentioning this narration:

The Prophet sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam foretold: liwaT-gay and siHaq-lesbianism will be common and men will be content with men, women will be content with women; people will propose to young boys like one of you would propose to a maiden... aw kama qaala alayhi's salatu wa's salam.

and many thanks to brother madani too.

    wassalaam.
