Ala Hazrat Rahmatullahi Ta'ala Alayh was asked, 'a few women gather in a house to Celebrate Milad and their voices was audible from outside home. my master Ala hazrat answered, 'not permissible, because the voice of a women should be concealed; a non mahram man listening to a women's attractive voice causes Fitnah (mischief). (Fatawa Razawiyyah, vol. 22, pp. 240).

my master Ala Hazrat Rahmatullahi Ta'ala Alayh gives the following answer to another question, 'it is Haram for a women to recite loudly in a beautiful voice in a way that non mahram men can hear her tunes.' Faqih Abdul Lays samarqandi's Nawazil states, ' A women's beautiful voice should be concealed.

PS: This is only about the voice. Par ae jeriya aurta tv par achniya'an ae koi changi gal eh? Kuch log tv koini taknehn? Na kuch logon ne ghar tv ae hi koini. I personally believe, aurta na koi kaam koini tv par achneh na- lor hi koini. For some (maybe) their beauty attracts more than the speech itself. #Arrrgh

It is not wrong per-se. The voice should be concealed from men who are Ghair Mehram - even if the lady is reciting Qur'an shareef or Naat paak, or giving a speech.

Is it wrong for a women to use microphone? I read women voice should be concealed? We still have women who recite naats&preach using microphone in Masjid? Or is this the matter of fiqh?
