That is mawlana abu Hasan way back in 2014 - when nabeel afzal hadn't descended into regrettable behaviour.

    far from nabeel's false claim:

abu Hasan was actually telling people off for needlessly targeting him.

Personally, I have nothing against nabeel sab and would not bother to get into these bickering matches - except that, he has unfortunately chosen to propagate unquestionably incorrect ideas and apparently, also taken to carrying tales to settle personal scores.

He also lies shamelessly in the same post:

can he back this claim with even a twig of evidence?

so he does not reply to personal attacks but lies through his teeth without a care in the world?

Did he not learn that to lie and slander a Muslim is from the kabaair?

I don't know what that is supposed to mean - the rules of Arabic grammar are just there and everyone has to follow them - whether wali or not.

What is he trying to prove by not replying? That the correct reading is what he presented and that mawlana shahid is simply cooking up non-existent rules of grammar?

If that is the case, it is his duty to speak up and prove mawlana shahid wrong as that is something that can affect many students of Arabic, and besides it should be a piece of cake. just pick up a good book on nahw and rattle off the rules.

Did he or did he not make those very basic mistakes which are not expected of even a madrasah grad - let alone "Mujahid e Ahlsesunnat - Allamah" sahib?

If he indeed doesn't do anything except for the sake of Allah - then instead of keeping quiet he should own his mistakes and promise to rectify them in the future.

And more than that - he should apologize to sunni ualma for slandering and mocking them.

    wa Allahu a'alam

The child he made a video with is not his student. He does study in his centre, but taught by Maulana Abdul Ghaffar sahib who is from Pakistan and is the full time in his place. He is an Alim. He is the one who taught the child to memorise the short manzoom in farsi, a tiny bit of sarf and nahw, and prepared him to read the ibaarat of Nurul Idha. However, Nabeel, sadly, as always, is taking the credit and exaggeration the level of the child. Nabeel himself has never studied Nurul Idha fully. Just a bit here and there to say he has done it. If someone says to him come live, we will chose an ibaarat for you to read, without any Tashkeel on the print, he will make mistakes upon mistakes.

He always gets a book with the Tashkeel on it or he listens to videos on YouTube of others reading it and then reads it. However, now a days, he has become to relaxed, so he makes too many mistakes. He knows maximum 4 or 5 rules of Nahw, which he can't apply properly too.

This was shared on Facebook straight after his video but he failed to respond.

This is how socalled Molvis should be dealt with, he has gone all quite now. Before Mawlana Shahid response he came out with three long windes refutations and slandering ulema.

AbdalQadir time to move along! will check pm's.

Copout. (If this is in response to Shahid Ali)

that example can't be used in a münazara oriented situation as was going on between these two gentlemen.

If he's so hard on his nafs and ego following in the footsteps of Hazrat Ali, radi Allahu 3anhu, then why did he respond initially trying to show off his student's knowledge of grammar.

    Nabeel Afzal Response:

A disbeliever was under the sword of Sayyiduna Ali رضی اللہ عنہ in The battle of Khandaq [Trenches], due to be destroyed he spat at Sayyiduna Ali رضی اللہ عنہ for which he was instantly spared. The survivor in astonishment asked Imam Ali how did a disbeliever manage to survive your sword? Imam Ali replied [Maulana Rumi's Mathnawi]: گفت من تیغ از پی حق می‌زنم بندهٔ حقم نه مامور تنم شیر حقم نیستم شیر هوا فعل من بر دین من باشد گوا "I use my sword the way God has planned Not for my body but by God’s command; I am God’s lion, not the lion of passion My actions testify solely to my religion" From this event we learn two main lessons. 1- When you are targeted personally dont react. It is not the way of Lions to do so. 2- Sincerity is required in every action of religion. Hidden motives, Agendas, Hatred, Jealousy & animosity will destroy you. The spitting of this man enraged Maula Ali رضی اللہ عنہ which made him feel that if he is killed now it will not be solely for Allahs purpose but my owb anger will be present so he restrained himself. SubhanAllah. May Allah grant us to be sincere in our Deen & Dunya.

It has worked well, Nabeel Afzal's gone all quite, I think they will tackle the rest of his accusations and text misquotaions next.

I think that was sufficient in Part 1. The focus needs to be on how texts are being misquoted to create confusion over agreed upon principles. We need to get across to the public our usul and how they are being tampered with.

it could be called nit-picking only if nabeel was an otherwise qualified individual and defending truth.

But when he is attacking the shari'ah, maligning sunni ulama who are standing up in it's defence at the cost of their personal safety, misreading and misquoting standard texts on live camera and planting confusion and doubts in the minds of youth - then he needs to be called out - however uncomfortable it might make one feel.

Just see the promo banner: "Mujahid e Ahle Sunnat, Allamah" - with a "hero image" plastered above it and think about the effect it would produce on the gullible.

Another issue is that intra-Sunni issues are exacerbated because of a lack of sincerity, personal agenda or blind following. If a layman is not really allowed to blind follow in creed, then how can it be possible for someone who calls himself a scholar.

These clips and counter clips are futile. Both sides are Sunnis so sit down and agree on what is the correct Sunni position in this regard and propagate that or just stay silent, especially when it is becoming apparent that you are our of your depth.

When the truth comes out about why this sorry affair has occurred then these individuals owe the Sunni public an apology and maybe should even consider resigning from their organisation. A scholar's duty is to propagate the correct beliefs and masla to their followers, and should not allow any personal issues either for or against get in the way. This is the main cause of our division today.

Good post by a learned brother:

One of the first things taught in an Alim course is learning Arabic without marks for vowelisation.

The problem we have here is that someone does a basic 3 year (not even an) Alim course, then gets bigged up by his close friends & associates & all of a sudden we have a new Shiekh on the scene.

Its a shame our own Pakistanis allow this to happen, people are blinded by titles (Shiekh) and take such people as authorities or scholars just because of a few prepared talks here & there.

These 3 or 4 year course 'Alims' also lack the Sohbat of real Awliyya, fake scholars end up being with fake Shiekhs.

this is not the core issue, just waste of time, you will find incorrect pronunciation, and majhool qira'at in some big and elder scholars too, though they would not make grammer mistakes. i guess everybody makes mistakes even in their own native language.

Mawlana Shahid Ali did well refuting him for his basic mistakes in arabic. This should teach him a lesson, hopefully he will think twice before he insults or slanders sunni ulema again.

and the awful tajweed - listening to him is a pain

totally unqualified to speak against ulama - except that nowadys qualifications (or lack of them) don't matter - most everywhere.
