    What does it say even?

You mean debatable rather than totally false.
I've not seen this video. If the children knew what he was saying and it was understandable to them and this increases them in tawheed than it must be said that you have a point and it may be the right point. I am not here to deny that

However the other side to the story is Shaykh Salek has been accused of associating partners with Allaah by his own long term student, a person whose links to hariri aside Facebook page looks like a model Muslim and the blessings travel across his khaandaan (wider family). Shaykh Salek has atleast put someone of his stature and practice in doubt.

Hence understanding what Shaykh Salek said is important, so we can all appreciate whether those kids know what the status of the Messenger of Allaah SallAllaahu alaihi wa sallam is or if they are playing in muddied waters.

This is totally false. If you watched the videos Shaykh Salek has posted, he said in one of them even children in Mauritania know the high status of Rasul Sallahu Alayhe Wasalam which includes some descriptions posted in the texts Abu Hasan has provided.

No Sunni will have an issue.

    No Sunni finds it problematic.

How many times do we have to say this? The text has been there for 500 years, which Sunni found it problematic?

I think if you look closely what I said is regular Sunni, not deobandi. That's what I've been saying if someone wants to speak to me on the phone you are welcome

If you look at many of your threads from years ago, you had many similar objections/queries to me. I agree with the need for those questions, I think many were never answered. You were not castrated, were dealt with nicely due to your potential as a 'sunni' stalwart - which you are fulfilling now. I just don't have that, as the signs are I'm not constricted to Sunni defence, Sunni defence could be thrown under the bus occasionally. I think we've made many errors, and the sectarian situation is partly or mainly our own fault. Allaah is not happy with us etc etc

If the text is not problematic it should be easy to explain but so much has been made of it we can question each others sincerity. It's questionable whether the discussion can proceed beyond a simple explanation where as ideally we should be able to discuss its rights and wrongs.

The text isn't problematic or ambiguous. Not to a desi Sunni or any Sunni. Only a wahabi would have issues.

Let's put it to the test. Hands up any Sunnis who read the two passages and thought, 'hey, they're problematic, them!'

I didn't derail that thread, I only asked what the desi sunnis had said in that regard. I was subsequently dragged from pillar to post in answering all sorts of (probing) questions. Taking responsibility anyone?

    Not good

the only reason he is doing this is to distract and bury the discussion under useless banter.
won't let him do that. and won't waste time on him.

    no need to ask him.

they don't do it to answer us. it is easy to convince their foolish followers by uttering some nonsense and claiming that they have silenced us. or throw some pointless 'objection'. if he has serious objections about the translation or some hidden meaning that only he knows, he should expound on it instead of merely expressing his dissatisfaction.

because we too can do the same thing for everything. "needs more research". end of story.

No. You found it problematic. Which part is it that you don't agree with?

I think it's best if you explain the whole tract
Cornering might be something you look for. I'm not feeling cornered at all because even you said problematic texts can have an explanation. You don't just recite or accept them if they give off the wrong impression.

Tariq, which part of these two needs explanation:

he (RasulAllah sallALlahu alayhi wa sallam) is the deputy (khalifah) of Allah ta'ala, whom Allah has entrusted the treasures of His Grace [karam] and the spreads of His Gifts [ni'am] are subservient to his (RasulAllah sallALlahu alayhi wa sallam) command.

Because Allah ta'ala has placed the keys of the treasures of His Mercy and Knowledge in his noble hands; he gives from it what he pleases, to whomever he pleases. SallAllahu alayhi wa sallam.

    ha.ha.

shameless people, when they are cornered, simply throw up a smokescreen of, it is complex. requires more explanation.

nonsense. you are practically evangeliscan perpetration of baiting glamour in the recesses of blue whale. perchance, blue berry calls it a day.

The whole tract needs explanation without being used as bait

There is a inherent evilness in presenting these lines which need explanation and using them to attack people when somebody does question them. This same route is being used time after time, always presenting quotes which can be perceived to be atleast lacking Tawheed and then using them to feed off those who take the bait. Not good

So RasulAllah ﷺ only gives to believers. Who does he not give to?

Also, does he give everything to every believer?
