Even Al Ghazali was criticised by some such as Al Tartushi, Ibn Al Jawzi, etc I believe. Didn't some scholars of his time burn the Ihya? It happens sometimes- it doesn't mean that these other scholars are not respected in their own right. In the same way, if someone doesn't like Imam Ahmed Rida, it doesn't mean they're somehow not worth listening to. We are not a cult. It turns out scholars can find fault in other scholars and still be sunni ulema worth respecting Of course, illegitimate criticism from wahabis etc is a different matter.
just because he has criticised alahazrat doesn't mean he is 'problematic'. but yes, i would personally avoid his reference. it could be that mawlana shahid wanted to pre-empt the well known tactic of people these days: label it as 'extremist barelvi', and much like the 'muslim terrorist' tag gets acceptance in the bigger world, it is fashionable to reject anything tagged 'barelvi'. most modern day 'hanafis' among arab scholars disagree with alahazrat's position of the beard in the hanafi madh'hab - even though it is THE traditional and correct opinion. but you cannot dismiss them just for one fiqh mas'alah. it is not the same as asking you to do something that will invalidate your salah. nas'alu Allah al-aafiyah.
Very strange to see this name posted along side others Shaykh Lu'ayy Khalīlī (Jordan) is himself a problematic person and now it is apparent this is some personal vendetta Who in the world would use Shaykh Lu'ayy Khalīlī (Jordan) who rejects the hanafi position on beard and considers alahazrat just a regular person. Totally absurd to put his name. What a shame this has become into. Total nifaq.
The so called 'scholars' of today seem to have some kind of fondness in participating in big reality 'drama shows', be it the Aslam camp, the Irfani or the PAQ camp! Less knowledge, more drama, lofty titles conferred by your puppets, and continue earning from the jahil awaam. It's big business!
Why does he even have third parties issuing statements of this sort, I mean if something's happened then he should either come forward himself and mention it or keep it private and let the police do their job in investigating the claims.
that old one apparently the enemy of a your enemy... same as some irfanis losing old friends and making new ones
death threats? is there anything in the UK such as RTI in india, where one can ascertain such claims from the police? where is aslam's complaint lodged? how did they issue the 'death threat'? phone, whatsapp, mail, letters, personal interaction? in the first case, one can ask for call records - show the number; and the rest, you can post them publicly to name and shame. unless they post a copy of the complaint etc, this is just an age old trick to duck criticism or intimidate critics.
Not so long ago Budally was slandering Maulana Shahid at Tirmidhi shahs place in Halifax because Maulana Shahid had wasters like him on the backfoot with all his posts against the tafies. This post https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=443923156531790 will have no doubt stung him pretty badly in the ego department hence his hatred on a personal level for Maulana Shahid.
Umar Budally is shiah, enemy of Amir Muawiyah رضي الله عنه. So he will try to get in the good books of anyone who shows any vibes against ulama like Mufti Aslam Bandyalwi.
Waheed Zaman close comrade of Aslam attacks mufti Aslam Bandyalvi and insults him. The blood of sanctimonious, arrogant blind followers of celebrity Shaykh is boiling because their teacher was corrected on valid fiqhi points of contention. Instead of accepting their Shaykh’s shortcomings and the embarrassing way he chose to handle the situation (by going silent and using proxies to speak on his behalf) they remain obstinate that their Shaykh can do no wrong and have now resorted to mocking and hurling profanities at their detractors including senior Sunni scholars. These same people are the ones who accuse ‘Barelwis’ of foul language and lacking of manners, often coming across as holier-than-thou and playing the (sham) ‘adab’ card. The irony seems to be lost on these fanboys. Is this the ‘adab’ you have been taught by your teachers?
Aslam's close fanboys (waheed zaman/ anser of banbury) have been cosying up to paqs murids. Sulh with anyone who sympathises with Aslam.
Barbers are still closed. Has he finally got his hair chopped? What was his excuse not to all this time then?
i did point about his hair. but a friend said that there is a lockdown and barbers aren't open. so i thought that it may be a valid excuse. (i didn't haggle with him about the beard though..)
Response to Nooruddeen The Fatwā is based upon the Muftā Bihī and soundest position. Clear textual evidence from past scholars رحمهم الله cannot be overruled. #Share
Fatwa On Amal Kathir & Imamat by Mufti Aslam Bandyalwi with special mention about the issue of 'Teddy Bear' (Abu Dam Dam)
