Further to what @Khanah has said, I think this thread should be locked. Commendable of @IbnAsif to apologise and In sha Allah a good learning moment for all involved

    Brother Bilal,

As the apology has been made, I would suggest no need to respond further as you'll only end up digging yourself a new hole. Look at your most recent post on this thread. It's similar to the person who says:

'Honestly, I won't mention the fact that you're an disgusting person who committed vile acts, it's all forgiven and forgotten, trust me.'

Mentioning anything that someone might have messaged you PRIOR to the meeting in justification for your own shortcomings (although they wouldn't count as justification at all for a wrong is not met with another wrong) just brings the whole thing to light again and now the other side would feel they should have an opportunity to respond etc etc.

My suggestion- you have done the right thing by apologising. Now leave social media forever, other than promoting beneficial books, videos, providing quotes or references and the like. Social media is a fitna that must be avoided- if you can't avoid it yourself, how will you ever help us to avoid the tribulations in our own lives? That will be your task when you become an alim.

May you become a great and righteous alim whom we can benefit from for many decades to come, ameen.

Brother as soon as the meeting was concluded I posted a public Apology on all my online Statues. Facebook What’s app and Instagram.

I also commented on posts on Facebook and YouTube with my apology.

My Allah forgive us for our shortcomings and allow us all to learn from this.

No brother we do not feel any animosity and our feathers were not ruffled due to any ilmi points.

Me and others will not mention this again. It is as if it never happened. We have clean hearts on the issue, please do not presume otherwise.

Ilmi ikhtilaf is good and permiteed. Like Abu Hasan said he has ikhtilaf. The problem is when Ulama make videos with baseless claims then message basic students like me with vile things. We learn from them. While Sh Asrar was ill he had no idea what was going on. Afterward, he directed us to adab and apology. He was the one who told me to take Mawlana Shahid out to eat and Mawlana Shahid gave me a copy of his book.

Agreed. Well done to Bilal for apologising here.

Nonetheless Bilal should also post his apology on the same media/platform where he had posted the slander. Not everyone who noticed his slander there, would also be on this forum to note his apology here.

I agree and this again was a shortcoming from myself.

Due to Shaykh Asrar health and a few other problems after the meeting I thought I summarise what had happened to help answer the questions people had posted to me.

I wrote these 8 points after the meeting not as someone posted below that these had been pre written. I only wrote that which was brought to Mufti Saab to which he agreed and then asked for a apology video to be made.

Again this maybe wasn’t the best thing to do and I have now removed the 8 point summary.

It goes back to this. Even though face value they'll be kudos for his tawbaa, but in reality the fact he climbed that branch and ruffled their feathers in their nest... It is not something that'll easily be dismissed, forgiven nor forgotten by them, hence why they are hauling Mowlana Shahid on the coals.

@IbnAsif understand where you are coming from in regards to summary or no summary but it should not have come from you. If there was a need, the two scholars involved should've jointly made one.

Due to your summary, it led us to an unnecessary round 2 after an unnecessary round one in the first place.

We need to use our public platforms more sensibly, and I hope you understand.

Theek Mawlana. I think there is a confusion here with the timeline or I think we maybe talking about two different things. In any case, I saw the 8 points being posted on SP, I believe a day after the apology video (correct me if I’m wrong and it was later deleted). I wasn’t aware the points were prepared before the meeting and released prior to the meeting as I’m not on fb and did not see it on twitter.

There were many messages sent to me on Whatsapp and my Facebook that provoked an emotional reaction on my part. I have apologised in PUBLIC on all my statuses on Whatspapp, Facebook and other social media outlets to Mawlana Shahid.

Mawlana Shahid's video caused many people to ask questions which were not answered by the short apology video.

I attended the meeting at the conclusion and there was no agreement that no public statement clarifying the points should not be made.

I removed the statement now to stop further fitna. We can't keep people happy, if there is no statement they get suspicious, if there is a statement they object.
The picture taken with me and Mawlana Shahid was not taken by me for a PR stunt as one person claimed. It was taken by a brother from up North who I have no link with. I hope Mawlana Shahid has the 35 minute video taken down now that the Deobandis are uploading it on their channel.

I do public tawba for my shortcomings.

your chronology is incorrect. get it right and you will get answers for your confusion. apologies if i may sound curt. there is so much flak flying i don't have time for niceties. please do not interpret it as being rude or insulting. i will try to be objective as possible. salam.

which one are you tallking about?

bilal's post WAS and IS (i got a confirmation from a brother a while ago) online. it was posted here for my comments. now don't make aqdas a scapegoat.

people should know what to speak and they are responsible for their actions. they cannot blurt whatever they will and then expect others to keep quiet and not criticise them.

no one can blame aqdas for re-posting that 8-point response.

I was the person who put the screenshots up which I found on twitter.

I was not aware of an apology being made and it is not public knowledge that a private apology was made for public posts making all type of ludicrous and thuggish claims.

One thing I really want an answer about is why Bilal said that he would organise a poison drinking debate/contest between Shaykh Asrar and Mawlana Shahid.

I really would like to know Bilal's thought process on this issue. Does he believe that Shaykh Asrar is a man of karamat? Was it a comment made out of arrogance and to act haughty? Did he really believe that Shaykh Asrar would survive more poison drinking? Does he believe that it is permissible for Sh Asrar to drink poison if someone asks him some questions via YouTube video?

What does he think the outcome would be if both individuals drank poison?

Let us not get into insinuations as that will lead us to square one. On this thread the questions have been posed and it is now down to @IbnAsif to reply.

We don't need to try to fill in the gaps ourselves

If Shaykh Asrar agrees to the 8 points which were released after the apology meeting, then what was the point of the apology video or the meeting?

Calm down. I often post stuff I don't necessarily agree with just FYI and so it can be analysed. And I rarely even write a disclaimer. It's a public post, lol.
