anyone who does not consider perennialism to be kufr (after learning about the meaning of perennialism) is a kafir.

    surah aal-imran, s3:v19

    s3 v19.png

Indeed, the only religion (accepted) near Allah is Islam.

    ---
[see pages 355-356 in TSQ, the tahrif commentary]

in TSQ, they translated 'islam' as 'submission' and claimed that the broader meaning of 'submission' is intended and describes adherents of any true religion who conform to God's Will.

they forcibly distorted the common meaning of 'islam' to a literal meaning of 'submission' - thereby to deny that only islam is the accepted religion. the first kufr was to deliberately distort the meaning of the word and second kufr was to twist the translation to mean that any religion is acceptable.

and to provide evidence for their own kufr in committing tahreef above, the murtaddin (may Allah punish them) mentioned the Prophets of Allah such as Abraham and Jacob (sayyiduna ibrahim and yaqub) who 'submitted to God's Will'.

this is a third kufr. because they claim that hazrat ibrahim and yaqub (alayhimus salam) and all prophets brought separate religions. whereas it is clearly said in aayat and ahadith that all the prophets brought the same message and it is the same religion of Islam.

by introducing a false premise that each prophet had his own religion, the TSQ criminals imply and justify their putrid belief that 'any religion is okay'.

they lied when they said: even though many muslims claim that islam as a religion, 'authorities' emphasise on the most universal meaning of it, that is 'submission'.

it is a lie. unless of course, these scoundrels refer to the kafir guru of the murtad nasr - that shameless naked hedonist - who goes by the name schuon.

and then comes the fourth biggest kufr when the 'commentators' - filthy kuffar - spoke with a forked tongue: 'the commentators do not restrict islām to simply denoting the proper name of the revelation to the Prophet Muhammad..." (SallAllahu Alayhi wa sallam).

    and

immediately followed it with a disclaimer that 'many' of them (that is the filthy murtaddeen commentators) however believe that there is no other religion after Prophet Mohammad (sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam).

this is known as equivocation. this is similar to pouring an equal amount of poison and honey in a cup and ask one to drink hoping that no one notices. and if anyone objects, they would bray like donkeys in posh conferences that 'the cup has two teaspoonsfuls of honey!' yet you call it vile?

    ----
anyone who calls this absolute piece of junk as "greatest piece of islamic writing in the west" is a blasted idiot or a glib liar. if this method was applied for analysis of harry potter books, these clowns would be laughed off as the biggest imbeciles in the western world.

the only reason such piece of garbage is celebrated in the west because it is related to islam (and unfortunately anything that is anti-islamic is celebrated and promoted) - what else explains schouns naked capers sold as modesty unlimited and utter kufr described as marifah sublime?

Allah's damnation be upon the vile enemies of islam.

In the next Q and A he does, someone should ask him 'is perennialism kufr?'. Follow up question- 'what about the person who does not consider perennialism to be kufr?'.

I remember seeing some video, maybe during Ramadan, where Hamza was talking about whether perennialism is kufr. He then tried to claim Murabit al Haaj was hesitant to make takfeer of them and implied he also withholds from takfeer. 'Whoever doubts in their kufr...' applies to him.

The anecdote about the mountain who lived in the desert, Shaykh Murabit al Haaj, is slander. His own son, Shaykh Adbur Rahman, has spoken against the kufr of TSQ.

I would link the video but can't remember which one it was. Might try to look for it later.

Maybe the real scholars meeds to be more available on social media platforms especially on social media since nowadays the sad reality the youth uses the means of internet rather than having face to face meeting with scholars espcially on the Q&A part. I also follow Hafiz Asad and read his replies everyday.

Since he is an Ustad in a masjid teaching the basics i never thought there would be issues with him.

And also social media reaches more people on a worldwide scale than someone giving dars in a masjid

He's fairly well known, particularly amongst young people.

The issue I find is that he has a lot of influence over these younger brothers and sisters and probably not enough sense to go with it. Your point about his presumptuous manner reiterates the points I was making in my previous post of holding yourself in too high esteem.

This is how cultish personalities get their start — you teach your followers that you're the only one who knows the truth — i.e, 'I'm going to tell you something that you wouldn't have heard from any other aalim', or insinuating things like, 'I'm having discussions other scholars aren't capable of having'.

Although social media personalities can provide usefulness in the right context, we need to push the youth towards real scholars, and/or towards a passion for learning. With all due respect, I'm not confident in these personalities to do the job.

Too much importance is being given to Hafiz Asad here. He is barely known around in the UK.

I have heard him speak on several occasions at my local masjid, but found him bit presumptuous (making claims in front of senior ulemas that "I'm going to tell you something that you wouldn't have heard from any other aalim"). He does have a nice voice, but like most Jamia al-Karam young graduates yet to scale to a high level.

this asad fellow seems to be ignorant. sunnis should be warned about such people who have no grounding in aqidah or fiqh nor have clarity about beliefs.

hamza yusuf's guru is the murtad hossein nasr.

    hamza yusuf praises nasr.

hamza yusuf contributed to an attempt on tahrif of qur'an led by hossein nasr - TSQ

every low life who contributed to the study quran is a murtadd.

every jahil (like faraz rabbani) who praised it (TSQ) is a munafiq bordering on kufr - who has no ghayrah for the deen.

    nas'alu Allah al-aafiyah.

I wonder what questions he even asked- it's easy to get satisfactory answers if you don't ask the right questions. Did he straight up ask why he hangs around with Nasr Hussain and invites him to speak to his Muslim students and why Zaid Shakir has called him 'his excellency' etc?

Don't see how any response could be satisfactory unless it was 'I was wrong, I make tawbah'.

And if the response was as per the above, he could just mention it in a tweet- 'I asked Hamza about ten different issues and he repented from all of them'.

No valid reasons have been given not to share what he has supposedly gained from his conversations. Claims of, "I'll do so when the time is right," and, "I need the correct time and platform," reek of too much self-importance.

Apparently, the present moment is too precious to discuss such matters as we have 'bigger issues', yet, he boasts that he sat with HY for 3 hours to discuss those same issues that we don't have time for!

The brother throws snide remarks by saying he's not a keyboard warrior and elevates his own importance by emphasising that he meets with those he finds issue with face to face.

Shaykh Asrar has already challenged HY and spoken out against him, and perhaps most of us feel no interest in engaging with an individual who defends someone who openly blasphemed against RasoolAllah, salAllahu alayhi wasallam, rather than us being keyboard warriors.

The celebrity Shaykh culture breeds those who wish to display their superiority over the masses while still harbouring inferiority complexes against those doing real work.

As Unbeknown mentions, we commoners must stick to studying fara'idh whilst these huge scholars of the religion work in secret doing those things which are too advanced for the rest of us. This withholding of knowledge is a fairly common practice amongst all areas of work and is often rooted in Machiavellian tendencies — an all too common symptom of celebrity scholars.

  11. AbdalQadir

AbdalQadir time to move along! will check pm's.

Yes thats the new mantra, in the west and east

Don't expose others' dirty laundry (on heretical beliefs) so that your own dirty laundry (on heretical beliefs) doesn't get exposed either

Don't publicize blatant heresies committed by any xyz, just let it slide away quietly because if you don't make a big hooha of it, people will quietly forget it with the release of new YouTube videos. So what if someone retains that falsehood and gets misguided!

Appeal to authority by name-dropping - WHAT? But he's yusuf qaradawi! But he's abdullah harari? ... and so on.

If you expose someone's heresies, you're guilty of bringing them to prominence and the utterer is not guilty of saying it and teaching it!

(Below video highlights the above points, it's from a different context of many modernist, secularist and liberalist heresies of some people, and also edited. yasir qadhi, in the mentioned context, pretty much says whats in every heretic's and devbandi's heart "we know we're wrong but don't expose us and there'll be no fitnah")

    nonsense.

he got "direct answers" - which he is not gonna reveal on social media.

We should ignore hanson's public stunts - everything right from the horse's mouth - because of some secret q/a between him and a someone who releases teasers about things he is anyway gonna keep hush hush.

    hmm.. make sense.

So basically, we must act like their blind followers and not utter a squeak against blatant heresy and kufr and stick to studying faraid - taking care, may I add, to avoid the aqida chapters dealing with Tawhid lest we fall into bad-ghumani of hanson and his minions.

So it turns out Hafiz As'ad has made some sort of clarification in regards to his meeting with HY.

He considers HY as a great scholar in his own right.

    Screenshot_20220205-071001_Twitter.jpg Screenshot_20220205-071238_Twitter.jpg Subhan'Allah .

And he has apparently shared his findings from the meeting with Shaykh Asrar sahib.

I wonder if this will be discussed in the upcoming event called " Sectarianism - Can we unite?" taking place with Shaykh Asrar and Hafiz As'ad.

Like you said bro, the suhba of sidis affiliated to Shah Yaqoubi is the reason you see things like this.

A disease of the modern era. Barely pubescent young molvis and social media is bad combination. Fame is a difficult animal to tame.

  16. What about Sayyid Samdani who is very close to him. Sayyed sahab also once promoted a deo site. Verily suhbat does have an impact!

They also appear on podcasts with Umer Asif who openly supports Sh Yaqubi.

Allah bless those Ulama who openly refute Budmazhabs.

considering the age we live in - popularity is partial to the foolish and the ignorant.

In one of his fatawa, Alahazrat quotes a verse which is very apt for our times:

    زمان قد تفرغ للفضول
    يسود كل ذى حمق جهول
    فان أحببتم فيه ارتياحا
    فكونوا جاهلين بلا عقول

sunnis should stop worrying about individuals. what if he goes away? what if he becomes deo/tafzili/shiya etc. some people are worried that these celebrities implicitly threaten: "if you do not make space for my nakhra, i may leave your group. and take a big chunk of followers with me'

i think that was one of the arguments of people who didn't speak up against irfan shah.

    ---
one of the blessings of being associated with alahazrat and his madrasah is the moral certitude and the confidence. ahl al-sunnah as explained by our elders is the right way. anyone deviating from this, will be deemed aberrant. forsake those who stray from the path and stick to the path of sunni elders.
