In my opinion it is counter productive to try to get Arab ulema to attest the kufriya ibaraat of the does and instead focus on promoting our works that expound mainstream Sunni beliefs. This will help expose the ruse of the does.
In the post he calls him the Muḥadith of this era, I do not have any problem with that considering his massive tahqīq of the muṣanaf of ibn Abī Shaybah and his defence of the Ḥanafī madh-hab. However i believe the Arab ʿUlama should now know about the deviant positions held by deobandīs especially in regard to what their four horsemen have stated in their books and they should warn against them and the Tablighi's whom i see alot of the Arab ʿUlama praise. My question per se is: What should our position on these scholars (not only Shaykh ʿAwwamah) be, do we excuse them due to ignorance on this issue or what? I myself believe Shaykh Asrār is not aware of this it was just something i saw on his telegram and thought would put forward to see what can be said about this and maybe Inshā'Allāh it is put forward to Shaykh Asrār Jazakumullah Khair
Unfortunately the sheikh has been poisoned by the deobandis. The deobandis filled his ears from many years ago. They also did the same with the teacher of Sheikh Awwamah, Sheikh Abdul Fattah Abu Ghuddah.
What is this list based on? Top 5 in terms of knowledge? In terms of piety? In terms of number of books written? In terms of number of Ulema produced? I have absolutely nothing against any of these Ulema, but why do they all happen to be Arab? And it’s fine that they are, but are these the only ones that Sh Asrar studied with? And which audience is he mentioning this for? A mostly Arab audience? A desi audience? How about: Allamah Khadim Hussain Ridawi? Mawlana Ilyas Attari? Allamah Ashraf Asif Jalali? Habib Umar bin Hafiz? Just wondering… Is there an agenda here? Why specifically mention Shaykh Awwamah, particularly after his praise of nanotwi and deobandis recently comes to light (which I’m sure Shaykh Asrar is aware of)? None of these questions are meant to be attacks in any way. I’m just curious as to why this specific list was created and posted publicly.
Their is no doubt on him being a fantastic scholar, my issue is his position on deobandi scholars like praising Nanotvi's efforts, and Kandehlawi writing a foreword for his book, i also believe he has visited their Dār al-ʿUlūm in deoband. Can anyone shed a light on what our position should be regarding him? I also dont why this got moved to a new thread seeing as it was relevant to the topic on hand? @abu Hasan @Aqdas
I was recently on Shaykh Asrār Rashīd Telegram and saw a picture of who he considered the great sunnī ʿUlama of today and he placed Shaykh Muḥammad ʿAwwamah on their. Yet their is a video on youtube of the Shaykh praising Nanotvi and his efforts in creating the Dār al-ʿUlūm and also says May Allāh have mercy on him. We also see that Zakariya Kandhelawi wrote a foreward fro his work Athar al-Ḥadīth al-Sharīf fi Ikhtilāf al-A’immat al-Fuqahā What should our position on Shaykh Muḥammad ʿAwwamah be on this issue?
