    Assalaamualaikum

I was thinking of the following book suggestion for Ridawi Press:

As much as I dislike deobandi's (their aqidah, mindset, etc.), there are some good people among them, in particular the youth and young imams.

Youth - in the sense of young, everyday people born in the West who have never delved into the differences between sunni's and deobandis, simply follow their elders/local imams because that is what they grew up with, etc.

Young (Western) imams - same as above, are active in the community with positive works, avoid 'divisive' issues, etc.

As such there should be a book in English targeted at this audience that highlights the major issues and fallacies with deobandi aqidah and focuses on their culture of disrespect towards Allah, His Messenger (sallallahu alaihi wa aalihi wa sallam) and Islam. The book can briefly summarize the issues sunnis have with the deobandi akabir and point to references for further reading, and then focus on the grievous mistakes of modern, mainstream deobandi personalities (Tariq Jameel, Junaid Jamshed, Zahir Mahmood, etc.) - mistakes which can be easily found in videos online and therefore: i. the reader can verify for themselves what was said by the speaker; and ii. the reader cannot dispute whether the individual 'said it or not'.

The message being given would be: is this the type of culture you want to be associated with?

    Wasalaam
